We were in Paducah for a long weekend, and since it was about dinner time, we came here. All I can say is, wow! The service was totally top shelf and the food is some of the best we’ve had in a long time. I got the chopped steak dinner, and my wife got the turkey dinner. As you can see from the pictures, it all looks very good. The good news is that it tastes even better! Real gravy, none of that fake, packaged junk, you get at a Perkins, or an I-Hop. This was our first experience at a Bob Evans, and it definitely won’t be our last!

If you’re not over the age of 50 I do not recommend Bob Evans. I don’t ever leave reviews of places, but this restaurant is so bad that I couldn’t help myself. The entire restaurant smelled terrible and the food was over cooked by a mile. I am glad the people that enjoy it are able to, however I strongly urge anyone else to avoid it altogether.

Had a bit of a wait upon arrival which is a good sign, the lady at the sign in stand was nice. The food was really good and they do know what over medium means when it comes to eggs. All of the food came out hot and as ordered however service was a little lacking, the lady was nice but our drinks ran out twice qnd the table was not getting cleared of used items until the bill was brought out. Overall it was a good experience and we will be back, I do recommend this place just ask for drinks before you run out.

Our server was the BEST!! Food was absolutely delicious! Hostess with long hair, very young…showed how frustrated and stressed she was with rush of customers. Had asked for a to-go cup. She brought it and placed it on our table, while head was turned talking to other staff members…never even acknowledged us!

I ordered my usual sausage gravy and biscuits. This time you all added salt instead of just doing it direct from the package. I do know that it comes frozen. You all added so much salt that two bottles of water, brushing my teeth, rinsing my mouth with Listerine and drinking another bottle of water then going to sleep did not take the salt out of my mouth. Since that is all I order…I will not be back.

Prefacing this with the fact I’ve worked in restaurants from fast food to more upscale/fine dining places, I do know what I’m talking about.
We came in last night with my brother’s family (not from this area) and decided to try it out. Nobody liked their food which isn’t the biggest deal, however we had some pretty big issues the store probably needs to address.
1. You probably have a mold issue in your ice machine, when was the last time it was cleaned? Because brown chunks inside of our ice was an instant red flag and likely means y’all are not cleaning properly.
2. Why are you serving moldy bread? We noticed upon leaving that there was MOLD on the bread for a CHILDs grilled cheese.
Nobody wanted to say anything because they are not the type of people to “make a scene” (even calling out a real issue is seen as a social faux-pas for them) and we respect that for the store, but this all points to a real issue with management. Cleaning ice bins, checking product, it’s all basic practices. I don’t expect someone to stare down every inch of bread but this was enough that it should have been noticed, and I’d argue you were aware are but a manager didn’t want food wastes up because of corporate pressure.
And perhaps the bread wasn’t moldy, as an argument I could see being made? If that’s true and what we saw was a white-ish green-ish blue-ish fuzzy… stain? for this hypothetical’s purpose. That means, you cross contaminated bread so badly that something (nobody had anything blue) was able to STAIN it, which it was not the color blueberries stain anyway but you serve them I’m sure, so you were either neglectful enough to cross-contaminate with a potential allergen, or neglectful enough to allow moldy bread to be served?

I introduced my Mississippi boyfriend to Bob Evans while on vacation in Michigan (where I’m from, now both living in West Tennessee). He talked about how good the food was there for the rest of our trip. The closest one to us is over 2 hours away, so we’re really hoping you’re considering building in Jackson, Tennessee, by the ball field where all the other new restaurants are popping up! We LOVE Bob Evans!
