It’s weird because I’m definitely not a fan of IHOP but I think IHOP’s food is better than what I experienced at Bob Evans. Their food was just okay. Our waitress was friendly but I do think she could have been a tad more attentive. This was my first and last time at Bob Evans.

My first time dining in this restaurant. Worst! The breakfast platter, $14.99, and the French toast that came with the platter tasted burnt and frozen, not fresh! The meat patties were burnt and dry. It tasted like old oil and a burnt frying pan. The hash browns tasted awful! I did not want to complain because the waitress (Shiloh) was not very helpful; she gets annoyed when we ask for something! I won’t be back! The service is terrible!

My friend.
From out of town wanted to stop here.It will be the last time I ever eat in the first time.I ever eat it one of these. It does look like they have a beautiful menu. However, the pictures are very deceiving. The food tastes horrible. It looks nothing like the picture. The portions were super small. My chicken was overcooked. The steak was overcooked. The only thing that was plentiful was the butter for the bread SECOND TIME I got a breakfast with caramel.Apple French toast. There was bacon potatoes loaded to eggs.Absolutely delicious.Blew my mind so I will forget the first experience and definitely come back again based on the second

Tender beef Pot roast with caramelized onions, sweet baby carrots covered with just right gravy, (not too thick, not too thin) all topped with fresh green onions! I almost forgot, it comes with two fresh baked biscuits or rolls. I enjoyed the rolls… Entirely edible. I finished up with a cup of coffee with half and half. It was nice quiet atmosphere with the music not too loud. My server, Betty, was friendly, helpful and had a good sense of humor to boot. I might even have to tip her!
2/22/26 This time, I ordered the one half turkey sandwich (with bacon, tomato, lettuce and Provalone cheese with just a little onion) on multigrain bread, a bowl of beef vegetable soup and banana nut bread for lunch, not bad for $8.99. Allison was my server today. She was friendly helpful and attentive without being intrusive. If recommend this for someone looking for a light meal at a reasonable price.

My wife and I enjoy eating at Bob Evans when traveling around the country. On the way back to our home in South Georgia from Tampa, Florida, we stopped for dinner at Bob Evans in Lake City. I enjoyed the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. It was served piping hot and tasty. My wife ordered pot roast that unfortunately had burned pieces in it. Her side dishes of cooked carrots and mashed potatoes were good. Service was attentive.

The food and service is amazing when you go inside to eat! But I’ve noticed when I order a pickup order my food tends to be lesser quality. I’ve ordered the Honey butter chicken and French toast both inside and for pickup.
inside: a flavorful big piece of chicken with delicious buttery French toast pieces
pick up: a small nearly burnt piece of chicken with nearly burnt French toast.
I love this restaurant but I wish the quality held up between both dining inside and picking up my food.

Ordered 2 Sausage biscuit and gravy with a side of hash browns and a side of home fries for pick up. Get there the bill is $56.07. something’s wrong. Ask for detailed receipt. Charge for 2 family sized sausage, biscuits and gravy at $14.99 each, then $13.99 each for family sides. Last whom took order by phone acknowledged she heard 2 sausage gravy and biscuits but could not understand the man after that. So I ask for manager. Assistant manager Mr. Smith, states we got 2 family sizes as last taking the order claims she could not understand the order as there was not than one person talking on the phone. It did not matter what I said and she confirmed again she heard 2 sausage, gravy and biscuits. This was around 1320 on 1/20/26. He goes to give me a refund with attitude and mouth. Hands me $20. I said, I paid with card. He said he cannot give refund on the card because he already closed the sale. He tells me to take all with, guess what’s not in the bag?.?. Biscuits, so I stop at the store and get biscuits and go home to cook. Spend $36, plus 6 at grocery because my elder dad wanted this for his late lunch after having a procedure in the hospital that required fasting. Thank you Mr. Smith. May I suggest if your workers cannot take an order, don’t be rude and ugly to the customer coming in, just don’t fulfill order or take it yourself.

The restaurant offered a variety of food options. The eggs and sausage were ok. The biscuits tasted like canned biscuits but the coffee was good.

After leaving Georgia to avoid the ice storm, we had breakfast at Bob Evans in Lake City, Florida. Alyson did a great job taking care of us. Our food was fast. Coffee was hot and after a long night on the road, it was so refreshing! Thank you, Alyson for your hospitality. You get five stars.

We were heading back from Sea World and got all excited about seeing a Bob Evans. We love the one in Virginia. When we got inside, the restaurant had 3 other guests and more than enough staff. We stood at the hostess stand for 10 minutes waiting to be seated while the staff cut up with each other. After finally being sat our waitress came and took our drink order. She gave us a few minutes to decide our food then came back. After taking our food order she left and returned 30 minutes later with our food. In the mean time our drinks were empty and still very few customers. We finally got pissed and asked a different waitress to refill our drinks. Half way through our meal we ran out of drink again and had the same issue with getting refills. Avoid this Bob Evans unless you enjoy being ignored as a customer. The servers name was Sherry
