Burger was as dry as SpongeBob without water, bacon was more burnt the a landscaper on a 100 degree day. Our waitress Carissa had straight attitude from the moment we sat down, instead of “let me get these out of your way” like any waitress would our plates sat in front of us for over 20 minutes while she walked passed our table multiple times..Highly disappointed in this place, do better. Smfh

Services was great. Upon checking in we were informed they were very busy and we may have to wait to be served but would be seated, which was nice to be informed. The server was very apologetic for the wait which really wasn’t too long. You can tell she was very busy and working really hard, but she was very friendly which you don’t see often anymore. The food came out fairly quickly and the meals were great, except the fries were a bit well done. The drinks were great and I liked how they asked if we wanted a to-go drink. I highly recommend this restaurant, the staff were all helping each other out and had an overall positive attitude.

Whenever we go to Bob Evans on West 12th, we notice that the restaurant could use a thorough cleaning on window sills and woodwork. Sometimes the seats and tables aren’t as clean as they could be either. However, the waitress will clean it better before we sit down if we mention it to the hostess who takes us to our table.
Also, I noticed that a lot of the other reviews mentioned the food being lousy at times. My husband and I pretty much solved that problem by specifying to the waitress or waiter exactly how we want our food cooked. For instance, we ask for the bacon “soft” and it’s never come to the table too crispy . I ask for my green beans to be served with as little “meat” mixed in as possible. If I get carrots, I ask for them not to be overcooked.
The wait staff is generally friendly, although one of the waitresses hardly ever smiles, and you get the impression she’s not happy or something.
We do usually have to wait a while for our food, even on a slow day, which is annoying because I’m pretty hungry when we get there. And when it finally comes, occasionally some of the food is only lukewarm, but we eat it because if we were to complain, who knows how long it would be before we could get more?

Firstly, the waitress had to come over several times to verify how we wanted our eggs cooked and what kind of toast. Only one of my eggs was over easy, and the other was over hard. The hashbrowns were literally grey! And it took 40 minutes to get our food. We did mention this to the waitress, so she credited our bill $5. Then we had to wait another 10-15 minutes to cash out because they couldn’t break $100. The entire experience was awful, and I will never go back to this restaurant!!

So my wife and I stopped for some dessert at 8:00pm on a Friday evening . The young lady that was our waitress was perfect(Tayla). But, the three young men that were there, two were cleaning the dining room and one behind in the counter area(maybe the cook). The two in the dining room have long hair and not tied back. The three were having a conversation across the entire restaurant. A bit annoying. I jokingly said to my wife that I wouldn’t trust them to cook anything for me, and didn’t think they could cut a piece of pie. I was right. My dessert was a pile of mess. It tasted great but presentation was bad.

On 12/7/25 my friend and I were driving on 12th street heading to the peninsula to see the Xmas lights. We decided to stop at Bob Evans to get a quick bite to eat.We enjoyed the food and our server made sure we were satisfied with everything. His name is Lyrik and he deserves a raise, possibly a promotion because he was extremely nice and worked very hard to keep everyone ( all of his tables) happy. Because of Lyrik and his great service with a smile, we will keep coming back! Thank you again!

Food and menu was ok! Quite a long wait for not a busy afternoon and we only saw our waitress once and the food wasn’t worth the wait. I’ve had good experiences there before so maybe they had an off day!
