Stay away from this place!!! We stopped there on the way to airport, after visiting our son. You order at counter. We had planned on taking our burritos on the road w us to airport. I ordered a brewed iced tea w mine. We decided they would b too messy to eat in car. So we sat down. My husband had a small bottle of coke in his jacket he wanted to finish. We planned to get coffee there afterward. Some smug guy in the back kitchen, yelled at him loudly for bringing the coke in. We were the only customers in the entire place. Kind of sucks that they feel a need to insult customers. This place is nothing fancy. More like fast food. We just spent $30 on breakfast n was gonna spend $20 on coffee for the road. Would never recommend this place. Customer service is horrible!!

I live close by, bout 5 miles away. I spotted this restaurant in Lawton across from the Lawton IA Post office. I went online to order a few items, and then headed to Lawton to pick up my order. Once I got there, they brought out my order, and I paid for it with my bank Visa CC. I gave a 15% tip, as I know we live in a “Tip” culture, but hey, I don’t mind. I know I’m paying for someone else to cook my meal. Once home, I reviewed my sales reciept, and noticed a charge ~ Custom Amount. I called a different Bob & Ellens, as I didn’t want to make anyone feel weird about asking about a $1.50 charge, but I was curious.
I realize that I should have checked my reciept myself while still at the restaurant. My mistake for sure.

The “Other” Bob & Ellen’s said that’s a charge for delivery they thought, but not usually for a pickup. The “Other” Bob & Ellen’s that I spoke with were very helpful. Just another lesson to be learned, even at 70.

The sub ~ Philly Steak and Cheese were ok, The chili was … unfortunately… very bland and plain. I had never tried Bob & Ellens. I wouldn’t be back, and that seems like a shame. Sometimes you only get one chance to make a favorable impression.

This is our first visit here and unfortunately the person who waited on us didn’t smile or comment about our order in any way. We waited quite a while for our food and watched while it sat up under the warming lights. My biscuits and gravy were cold, my husband had a small pile of bacon and it looked like it had been cooked a while ago. His fried eggs were overcooked and awful. Fortunately both of our coffees were hot. This Bob and Ellen’s does not compare to the one in Jackson Minnesota where the service was outstanding and the food was delivered quickly and hot. The place was clean and had a great decor. The bar looked like a fun place to hang out and have a drink on a Saturday afternoon.

Food is always so delicious but their service could use alot of work. The staff on shift was not willing to work for the business but rather chose the lazy route. She stated they were busy and there were only two tables that were occupied. One of those tables was just sitting and talking. We left today because the service wasn’t willing to work for the money so they didn’t deserve our business.

Food was really good for short order. The woman taking orders and waiting tables was great. The only reason I didn’t rate the service 5 stars is because she forgot what extras I wanted with my quesadilla. Which really isn’t a big deal, I wish could rate it 4½

If you’re in Lawton, IA, you gotta hit up Bob and Ellen’s. Their Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza is fire—crispy, cheesy, and loaded with flavor. The burgers are always on point, juicy and tasty, and the wings? So good.

They’re really stepping it up and it’s awesome having a place like this in town. Great vibe, friendly folks, and the food’s always solid. Definitely worth checking out!

Yesterday we got a medium carnivore pizza and 10 wings. The wings were very good but the pizza was not the best. It was really tough and chewy. Ended up trashing 1/2 of it.

We were extremely disappointed in the service last Saturday, September 14th. We came in for dinner with a group of 8 teens and 5 adults. We had called ahead to ensure they could accommodate us. When we got there, there were maybe 2 other customers in the bar. The teens were seated together in the dining room and we sat ourselves in the bar. We could see the teen table from where we were sitting. They got their drink orders quickly, however, after waiting over an hour, they still had no food. They ordered easy dishes like chicken strips and fruit bowls. The food should have been ready quickly. By this time, the restaurant was filling up and everyone was getting their food except our teens. After watching so many people get their food and our kids not even getting drink refills at this point, my husband asked to speak with the manager. The manager said it was busy and they were doing their best. My husband explained that we had been waiting for over an hour and needed to get going to the homecoming dance. Finally, the food was brought out and apologies were given. When it was time to pay, the manager said the teen table was covered and we appreciated that. I don’t leave bad reviews lightly but even the service in the bar was terrible. We ordered drinks we never received but didn’t bother complaining about because we were focused on the teens getting their food. The food at Bob and Ellen’s is good but customers should be served in a timely manner and without having to complain first. We will not be going back.
