This is a great bar and restaurant, with fantastic service. We had one of the daily special appetizers – crab dip and shrimp in phyllo dough shells. Our entrees were the fish and chips and the crab&lobster roll. The fish and chips were the best I’ve ever had. The crab&lobster roll was a little disappointing since the crab really mutes the flavor of the lobster, but the bun was legit. Dessert was an absolutely delicious toffee cake, a well as a slice of Smith Island cake we opted to box for later. Don’t forget the margarita – delicious as advertised. We plan to come back to try the rest of the menu. Highly recommend!

One of the best margaritas in Annapolis! Food is phenomenal. Highly recommend the crab and spinach artichoke dip, it is a must! Oysters are good, but they are expensive. We sat at the bar and service was great. Casual atmosphere.

I was visiting Annapolis for a short day trip with my partner and we decided to check this place out. We came around 11:30 on a Saturday and were seated right away. Our server was friendly and explained the menu thoroughly. The atmosphere in the restaurant was energetic and upbeat with parties of all sizes and servers chatting.

Our food came out extremely quickly. We got the Maryland crab soup as an appetizer, which we were disappointed in. The size was tiny and there was barely any crab in it. For entrees we got the fish and chips and fish tacos, both of which had big portions and were very delicious, in contrast to the soup. Overall, we enjoyed this place and might come back to try some other items on their very extensive menu!

Pretty good food, fine service, on-point atmosphere. I’d dine here again. Now to the details. We started with a pleasant greeting at the host’s station, followed by a short wait as a table was set for us. No issues. No notes. The table design was appropriate to the atmosphere. Everything was clean and tidy. Our waitress was pleasant & professional and provided good meal recommendations. Beer selection was 100% reasonable. I went with a Heavy Seas selection (an IPA) and my super-spouse went with a Pils. Soup-time! A Maryland crab soup for me (imagine a more ingredient-filled cousin to a Manhattan clam) and the cream of crab for my wife. I’d you told me that the veggies (corn, peas, tomato, etc) were all cooked individually and added to the soup, I’d believe you. Al dente corn and a well-stewed tomato make a fine combination. My wife’s soup was thick & rich. For me, both needed a touch of pepper. My wife thought hers was perfect as-is. Who am I to argue? The mains were crab cake for my wife and a crab cake/rib combo for me. No notes on the crab cakes. Tasty stuff. My ribs tasted fine, but were an odd combination of a too-dry strip of meat and a properly moist & fatty lower section. I can’t prescribe a fix, but that expansive dry section definitely wasn’t right. Clean bathroom (at least the men’s), too!

Jenna was a wonderful waitress and very helpful for our first visit. The food was AMAZING. We had a crab cake, crab spinach dip, stuffed flounder and scallop crab-onara and was blown away.

I really enjoyed the Boatyard. I was by myself so I sat at the bar and chatted to the bar tender a bit. He was outstanding. I had Antione’s Oysters Rock for an app. They were PERFECT! Gobbled them up and then ate my crab cake sandwich with a couple of Boatyard largers which were also very good! Oh, and the toffee cake dessert was incredible too! Definitely a great spot! Fun atmosphere, friendly and fast service, and awesome food! I LOVE MARYLAND CRABCAKES!! Why can’t anyone else make them like they do??

I couldn’t ask for a better experience of Chesapeake Bay culture. The food is life changing. The atmosphere is spot on. The service is amazing. You can’t go wrong eating here with food from deer to Wahoo. I’m not forgetting the “all kill, no fill” crab cakes. Sit down and enjoy!

Talk about an eatery that made you feel like you were in an episode of “CHEERS”, if you seen cheers you know the reference. Sure there was locals sitting at the bar and I was the newbie looking for home away from home. New to Maryland and was told good things about this place and their NO filler crabcakes. It’s all TRUE!!! I ordered to go but sitting there I was hungry and thought let me try something else so I can give a true assess of the infamous Boatyard Bar and Grill. I ate this delicious crab and scallop pasta that was so so good I wanted another 800+ caloríes that I did not need to eat . All you need to do is come and try it for yourself. I spent about $120(2 drinks and 2 meals – crabcake and the pasta)
