Great place for dinner in Cross Hill. Only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. We’re staying at an RV resort nearby and saw this place going through town. Really glad we stopped in. Food was served hot and delicious. I had the Deviled Crab. Nice outer crust and moist crabmeat inside. Potato Salad was also excellent. There are so many dishes on the menu it was hard to choose. Wish we had more time here to try them all. My wife has been diagnosed with Celiac Disease and can’t have gluten. Although they don’t have a gluten free menu she was able to find many items on the menu that didn’t include Gluten.
All the wait staff were working hard to ensure everyone had a great dining experience. Checked on us multiple times. The restaurant was ultra clean and the table with condiments and drinks were spotless. Wish every restaurant took this lesson on cleanliness.
Very relaxed and casual atmosphere. You order at the counter and we gave our name when ordering but they brought the food to our table as with the rest of the diners. They also cleared our table when we finished. It was a wonderful experience and we’ll be back when we come this way again.
I’m posting a picture of the menu since I was unable to find it anywhere. Don’t get upset with me or the management of this resturant if items or prices have changed by the time you visit. The world is full of changes and nothing on the internet is real. Enjoy!

The Boathouse Fish Camp is a diamond in the rough. The food is delicious, not a single complaint. The sweet tea was great and just makes the whole meal taste better. You’ve got to give it a try. I promise you will not be disappointed.

Great service – very friendly and helpful. Had sirloin tips. Ordered them medium-well. Wanted a little pink inside; next time, medium. Onion rings very good and the beer fries were good, too. No baked potatoes which was a bit disappointing. Good seafood, too. First time that we went and we will go again.

The Boathouse has a farmhouse setting with a splash of the lake added in. The decor is up to date and very unique. The railings on the porch are in the shape of boat paddles, so cute. Their signage is in the shape of smaller boat paddles. The atmosphere is very welcoming. The food is very good. The flounder is solid white meat with crispy breading on the outside. The baked potatoes were fresh and hot. And let’s not forget the sweet tea; sweetened just right. My cup I think had a hole in it. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of their menu. I hope you enjoy your visit as much as we did. P.S. They have a dessert of the day, our day was Peanut Butter Pie. I didn’t try it but it looked amazing.

Cute atmosphere but the food falls short. Self service for the most part. Order, pay and wait for your food. I was irritated that I left 20% on a hefty tab for a 7 top and didn’t really receive any table side service. The shrimp scampi is a rubbery mess served swimming in oil and butter. The wings must have been taken from a mini chicken. It’s painfully obvious they’re not interested in quality menu items. Cheap ingredients.

Great food, decent prices. Nice staff. We had a great time…well as much as 3 kids under 5 will allow haha. The staff engaged my kids, took the time to listen as they told the tales kids tell. When I say decent prices, I mean 2 adults and 3 kids for $40 and change plus tip. Not bad at all. We will be back for sure.

I was going to BFC during the Trump/Biden election. The food was good, but I stopped coming because of Trump sign by the driveway/highway. You lost certain customers because of this. I didn’t
care who won, but politics to me shouldn’t be advertised at a business unless you want certain people to be your customers. Again the food was good! Have a nice day.

We were there last night. I don’t understand all those high reviews. We got the tackle box. The onion rings were largely batterless and burned. The catfish fish was way over cooked. Scallops were good cooked right. My wife’s flounder was wet and mushy. The hushpuppies were good but they forgot them on the plate. They later brought them. Other reviews were right, fast food, but not good food. Didn’t finish it just left it.
