Went here for brunch after my husband found it on a local TikTok food search while we were in the Akron area. The restaurant was lovely inside. It’s not a large place and it’s not small. Definitely “quaint”. I ordered the Avocado Bowl which was very good. The portion size was perfect. My husband ordered the Turkey Sandwich and added a fried egg. We both agreed the food was great and if we didn’t live 40+ minutes away, we would eat there frequently. Service is 4 stars because we ordered a Pancake to split with no toppings. The pancakes smelled delicious when we walked in. Because it was a bit of a wait to get our food after we ordered, we didn’t want to wait any additional time for the pancake so we didn’t say anything. It wasn’t on the bill so it looks like it was forgotten when our order was put into the system.

This place was good. Our server was cool and super nice. The food was bomb. Some of the best home fries I’ve had. Hollandaise was weirdly cheesy like someone else said but my bf really liked it.

This is my favorite breakfast place in the area. We have been here multiple times. My favorite is the crab cake Benedict. I have even ordered it to go as well. My husband had a special Shrimp and Grits and it was amazing. The chef knows his stuff! He even came out and asked how the grits were because he said it was a family recipe but it was a special for the day.

First off, we waited about 30 minutes to be seated which is totally fine if the food is good. It was not in fact good. For starters, the hollandaise was weirdly cheesy. The breakfast tacos had barely any meat or peppers and the cheese was cold which made the eggs cold. But the true abomination of this meal was the salsa! It will forever remain the most vile “salsa” I have ever had the displeasure of consuming. It’s a tomato paste base with some green peppers and chopped onions added. Literally just tastes like a mouthful of those little cans of tomato paste! Also the hash”browns” were whiter than my legs after a winter in Akron. The place was very cute and servers were pleasant, thus the two stars and not one. Tragic….

We came in for breakfast on Valentine’s Day. We had an amazing server named Riley! She was awesome, very kind and attentive. We got the boathouse charcuterie board and some mimosas as mocktails. They don’t typically do non alcoholic but Riley made them with seltzer water. Great drinks, amazing service, fantastic food. Definitely recommend!

Although the location is out of the way and the outside plaza is unassuming, the boathouse cafe is a great brunch spot. The lighting is fantastic. It provides for a great ambience and amazing photos. Additionally, the decorations and theme are consistent and add a nice visual appeal to the place.
It is small, but comfortable. The biggest draw of the place is how visually appealing it is inside. However, the food is quite good too.
I have come for brunch on several occasions and have found the crepes and waffles to be my favorites.

Decided to try this spot based on recommendations. It did not disappoint! Wonderful breakfast menu which we took advantage of. Prices are good, portions were nice and we left very full. I will definitely be back to try some different things. Cook clearly enjoys what he does and took care to make sure everything looked and tasted great! My friend was excited to try the shrimp and grits as you can’t get that everywhere. He loved it! Thank you for a great experience!!
