I enjoyed some very good bourbon at The Boathouse and really liked the overall setting. The only downside was that our view of the water was blocked by a large yacht directly in front of our table. I asked the host if we could move to a nearby empty table, but was told it wasn’t available. I don’t recall if anyone ended up sitting there, but it wasn’t a major issue.
Overall, it was a great spot for a business meeting. We enjoyed the drinks and caught about 45 minutes of happy hour, with drinks at half off. The fish dip appetizer was delicious—smooth and flavorful. I had the shrimp pasta, which was good but nothing out of the ordinary. My guest ordered the branzino and enjoyed it very much.
The location is in a busy, well-situated area. Since it was a weekday, we found parking in the nearby public garage without trouble. I’m not sure if that would be the case on a weekend, so I’d recommend planning ahead and making a reservation for better seating.

This was our first stop in Ft Lauderdale. We were starving when we got off the plane and the reviews for Boathouse were all positive so we decided to check it out. I’m so glad we did! The shrimp scampi pasta was delicious. The night’s menu featured a steak and shrimp duo and it was also incredibly good. The steak was butter soft and the shrimp had a nice grill char to it that was *chef’s kiss*. Our waitress was amazing and added so much to our experience. A nice dinner right on the water was the perfect start to our trip! Check out Boathouse at the Riverside! You won’t be disappointed.

Amazing lunch menu and exceptional views of the river. I highly recommend the Ahi Tuna tortilla platter, the tuna with the Marinate was great. After lunch you can take the free water taxi for a loop around the lake as its just outside the Boathouse Resturant. The Servers here are the best I have seen so far defiantly very attentive and a benchmarking what service should be to warrant 20% of higher Gratitty.

Beautiful spot right on the New River, just steps from Las Olas – perfect for enjoying the view and watching the boats go by. The atmosphere is amazing, but the food didn’t live up to it. The gazpacho on the menu wasn’t available, and the prosciutto flatbread was pretty blah, topped with some very sad baby arugula. The mussels we good with tasty sauce, but I wish the bread was fresher.
Big miss on the food, but the location still makes it a nice place to sit and chill.

Ella was the friendliest and most attentive server I’ve ever had. She was patient with our indecisiveness and made great menu suggestions. You could easily tell she enjoys her job and knows the restaurant well. She made my partner’s birthday dinner very special by offering to take pictures of us and bringing out a surprise cake at the perfect timing despite it being a busy Saturday evening. She held great conversation and was very kind and welcoming. We would absolutely come back, and thank you Ella for making the night so special! You deserve all the recognition for the heart and effort you put into your guests and their experience. Wishing you the best! The food was amazing- we had the potato dippers for an appetizer and the flatbread and lemon pepper chicken for entrees. The chocolate cake and cocktails were also phenomenal! When I made the reservation earlier in the month- the host I spoke to was also extremely kind, patient, and went out of her way to accomodate us. We go to a lot of restaurants and have experience in the customer service/food world, and we were both thoroughly impressed all around with the way this restaurant exceeded all our expectations. We will be back!

We stopped here after a ride on the water taxi, and before a flight. We had a big lunch so I opted for a light early supper. I had acup of crab and corn soup and chef salad with a Salmon addition. My wife had a flat bread pizza. Both were delicious and the service and the view were great. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately, our experience started on a negative note due to the hostess being unfriendly and unwilling to seat us at a table we requested, despite it being free.

I am extremely disappointed with my dinner. I ordered buffalo wings as an appetizer, but they arrived dry and burnt. When I asked about it, the staff admitted they were cooked in the morning (it was dinner time!). The salmon entrée was just as bad—dry, tasteless, and seemed like it was cooked yesterday. The side dish was awful too. Regarding service: our waitress was sweet, but the food runner carried my salmon with his thumb inside the plate, leaving a visible fingerprint in my food. This is unsanitary and disrespectful to customers. I do not recommend this place.”
