We showed up at 12:30p on a beautiful Friday afternoon, our first time here, and the host got us a nice seat overlooking the ocean right away, no wait. Our server Alex, came by immediately after and was friendly, and very knowledgeable about the wines, helping us choose a great wine that we loved, and also recommended some excellent choices for our meal, we had the Hamachi tuna starter which was awesome, very fresh, Sashimi, and the crab claws, both excellent choices. Then we had our second course, the fish & chips which were done perfectly, and the Lobster Bisque, also perfect with many nice chunks of lobster in it, creamy, excellent! Then I had a third course, the Lobster Roll, see photo, it was unbelievable!!! It was so full of lobster and the bread was so good, toasted and soft, full of butter, soooo good, definitely order this, you won’t be disappointed. Alex was so attentive and fun the whole time, you’re lucky if you get her as your server, she’s awesome and made our decision to come back for dinner the same day easy. The view is also spectacular- right on the most beautiful beach, a perfect vibe and atmosphere, please enjoy as much as we did!

Walking in was a pleasure as we were greeted with a smile and felt welcomed. We requested beachside seating and were seated right away. The sun was just splendid as we arrived about 30 min prior to sunset. Our waitress arrived shortly after we were seated and welcomed all our questions with great knowledge of the menu. The service was top notch! We started with the lobster bisque and shared the halibut entree. The halibut was fantastic with the potato pancake which was crisp on the outside and creamy inside. The fish was cooked perfectly and so naturally wonderful. Not a fan of the vegetables, though the display was colorful.
The cocktails were not memorable and considerably pricy.
The location, vibe, service and view create a lasting and awesome memory!

A quintessential California spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Honestly they don’t have to have good food as a result their spectacular location but not only is the food great, the atmosphere is spectacular and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I can’t think of another place where you can eat this close to the waves! They do get busy so please plan ahead and the weather can change on a dime, which in my opinion is part of the charm. Highly recommended!

All I can say is WOW. Found a hidden gem with a kind of isolated location and fantastic view of the Southern California coast at sunset. Great service, phenomenal food. I got the sea bass which melted in my mouth. My husband got the grilled scallops with risotto, which was phenomenal too. This was the best seafood dinner during our Santa Barbara trip.

Chelsea the waitress made my experience here so great! Coconut shrimp is my favorite appetizer. The clam chowder is the best thing on the menu. Boat house punch was an amazing rum drink!

A beach side restaurant, plenty of umbrellas to cover from the sun. Love the chill vibes this place gives off. Wonderful view of the beach, nice cool breeze.
The staff was nice and the service was top notch.

Holy cow, what a gorgeous place in the most beautiful location. We sat outside on the uncovered patio. Loved being so close to the Pacific. Food was delicious , service was great. If you are afraid of birds, however, this is not the place for you! They will try to steal food off of your table.

The perfect start to the morning! We shared the Boathouse Signature Breakfast, and the crab cake was absolutely awesome. Fresh, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and paired beautifully with the poached eggs and chipotle hollandaise.
The beachside setting made everything even better relaxing, sunny, and exactly the kind of place you want to linger over breakfast. Highly recommended!

A great seafood restaurant, right on Henry’s Beach just North of Santa Barbara.
We had a 30 minute wait for an outside patio table on a Saturday afternoon.
We got a table, right at the glass in the shade, so in my opinion, better than the beach front tables with no shade..
We had the crab cakes, steamed mussels, clam chowder and the cioppino.
All were great!
Makenna was a very nice server.
A great experience.

I went with family and I ordered the chilaquiles for breakfast and I loved it! The tortilla chips were the right amount of crisp with black beans on the bottom which had very good flavor. I also ordered the French toast and also delicious. Everything tasted great and the service was fast and friendly. My family also enjoyed the food and the ambiance. We got to sit right outside and have the perfect ocean view!
