Fantastic food—hands down the best BBQ I’ve ever had. We shared the Pick 4 platter and had more than enough food. The ribs were my favorite; they had an amazing smoky flavor. The sweet potato fries were incredible as well.
Not to mention, it’s right on the river. Even though it was raining and cold when we went, we still stepped outside and watched a few boats pass by. Great view, great service, and awesome food.

A nice BBQ spot along the river in downtown Marietta. The beast burger, a special, made of wagyu, venison, bison and wild boar is one the best tasting burgers I have ever consumed. The service was lacking but we were a large party of 17. The place is worth a stop if you are passing through or staying in the area. The views along the river add a nice ambiance to the meal.

We stopped on our way through town. They have a beautiful outdoor seating area overlooking the water with boat docks so you can approach by water. Unfortunately, it took at least 45 minutes to get our food after we ordered. We had to ask multiple times how our order was coming along. The restaurant was not that busy and our order was very simple. Seemed like a kitchen issue. I saw one of the cooks in the restroom and he seemed like he may have been drinking. Not sure. We left frustrated by the experience which is a shame because it’s such a cool spot.

The locals recommended Boat House to our group, so we came in to give it a try. I ordered the Lobster Crab Dip and the Boathouse BBQ Ribs with French fries. The Lobster Crab Dip was decent, but I didn’t love the ribs. The sauce is pretty acidic, though the ribs are tender and fall right off the bone. The fries were pretty good. I wasn’t a big fan of the BBQ sauces available. My buddy enjoyed the onion rings and ribs, but didn’t like the brisket or beans.
The service was good. We were told it’s the slow season, and our waitress let us know she was the only one working the entire restaurant. But she checked on us regularly and was nice. The restaurant/bar has the main dining and bar section at the entrance, then an add-on section in the back with views of the river. I won’t choose to come here the next time in Marietta, but wouldn’t be upset if someone in my group picked it. I would just try something else on the menu to dial in my order.

We were there for the weekend and decided to stop in for lunch. Everything was amazing, like beyond all expectations, amazing. The server and manager were both very sweet. The food was so good. We had the waffle fry appetizer, the choose 4 meat entree (we chose pulled pork, BBQ chicken, ribs and brisket) with fries, a side of Mac N Cheese and a slice of Cheesecake. There was so much food we have enough for dinner and then some. The view is gorgeous. I cant wait to come back this summer to sit on the patio.

Get there early. They sell out of ribs and brisket. Our food was tepid at best. I had chicken and sausage which was a hot dog. Seriously a hot dog. cut in half with grill marks. The chicken was undercooked and cool. Slathered with tasteless ketchup like something.. Mac and Cheese was good. But do you go to a BBQ place for Mac and cheese? Understaffed. Needs a bus person. I won’t be returning. Well I would for a drink by the water but there many many other places to go for a drink along the water.

Great environment for the family. Locals at the bar. They have inside dining along with a sun room and outside dining. A kids play area to the side with amazing views of the Ohio River. The menu had a great selection although they were out of beef brisket we still enjoyed our meals. The Mac n cheese was on point. Fries were crispy and seasoned great. My son enjoyed his bbq wings. Atmosphere varied as to where you wanted to sit which was great for all parties. Bathrooms were very clean and I enjoyed the staff. My kids said they had fun and would like to go back.

Got the Lobster Crab dip which was delicious for my appetizer. Then had Pick 2 of Chicken and Brisket with Mac & Cheese for meal. Been craving good BBQ chicken and it hit the spot with a tangy House BBQ sauce. But if that’s not your thing they have a Chipotle, Caroline and Gold Rush bbq sauces you can try too. Brisket was good but looks like pre-slided thin and put under warmer to warm meat up and it made it almost too crispy for me.
Drink was really good: Boathouse with tequila. Will definitely come back.

Absolutely loved our visit to Boathouse of Marietta! Our waitress gave us honest recommendations and provided excellent service throughout our meal. The views from the water outside are beautiful, making for a perfect dining atmosphere. The sweet potato fries were the best I’ve ever had! Highly recommend giving this place a try.
