In Dec of 2022 The Boar’s Nest took on a new owner. A new owner that patronized the bar for over 20 years until he bought his own in 2012 and 12 years later when word of The Nest shutting its doors permanently it motivated him/me to try and save The Nest from the unknown. After 3 months of hard core cleaning and remodeling, enough was done to keep its original feel but make it my own. New kitchen, New Staff, and many improvements. A must-see and check it out!! Great food and awesome bartenders! The General Lee on the roof is a must see. ❤️ Love the sign at the door. “Thru these doors walk the finest people, our Customers/Friends”. The atmosphere is great, they have outside seating and lots of bands in the summer. Oh, and don’t forget to ask the see the men’s bathroom , it’s pretty cool too.

Bluegill was phenomenal. Sam our bartender was every bit as good. Made a fantastic old fashioned. Totally a 10 out of 10. My wife wants to try the walleye next.

We went for Friday fish a couple of months ago. It was awesome! Food was great and service was great. We couldn’t say enough good things about our visit. We decided to return. Service was awful! There was only 1 server. They were definitely understaffed. Fish was just ok and our drinks were not very good. We think they forgot to add the alcohol.

I’ve been going here for years with my family and we always had a great experience. I was a bit surprised when they downsized their burgers they used to be big. But it’s 10x better the bun is very fluffy and the beef patty tastes almost like a butter burger from Culver’s. The fries are very crispy and piping hot which I love. I’m not a huge bar junky but the food you get here is quite tasty!! I highly recommend this place for the food! 🙂

Came for my first time decided to have the fried cod for dinner was cooked perfectly not greasy at all. Are waitress was spot on even though it was a full house she stayed right on top of our service the entire time. The only reason I rated it a three for the atmosphere taking into consideration it’s a bar also it was extremely loud or you couldn’t even hear the person sitting next to you at the table what is the time went on the crowd window down and it was quite Pleasant

This would be all 5, but the place was like eating outside. It was so cold in the place. It was wall to wall people, so I think they must have been down a waitress. Fish was very good, potato pancakes need to be deep fried, and I am sure that they would be delicious. But yummy food otherwise. So happy I checked the place out.

We stopped and had a Bloody Mary and it was good. I heard the fish fry is good also and we’ll probably stop back and try that. I really enjoyed the Dukes of Hazard Theme of the place.
