Pretty typical neighborhood bar — pool table, dartboard, and a big food menu with all the usual favorites. I came in for the wings special I saw online, but it turns out the menu I found was about nine months old. Instead, it was Taco Tuesday. The tacos were good, not amazing, but definitely decent bar food.
The bartender/server was super friendly and kept things moving even though she seemed to be handling most of the bar on her own. The wings looked great when I saw a few orders come out — and apparently, they’re only 50¢ each on Wednesdays from 7pm to close, so I might have to come back to try them then.
Overall, a solid, laid-back spot for a casual night out.

Went late night after a movie one night. Food and drinks were okay. Dj wasn’t playing the best set but seems like some people were enjoying themselves. There are also pool and darts available to play. They do have security at the door.

First time here, went for a lunch with family. The food was very delicious and customer service was excellent. Appetizers and Main Entree were a very good size; we received family style which we can all enjoy. The restaurant itself isn’t made for big parties and the kids chicken nuggets with fries were so gross with no flavor and not cooked well; I’d recommend something different from kids menu. I’d recommend the place for people to try.

Great little local place for Portuguese food. Waiter was friendly and offered suggestions. The red sangria was nice and refreshing. We tried the clams in garlic sauce and the mussels as appetizers and both were seasoned nicely and was enjoyable. The table bread was served cold but you can request them to warm it up. It’s definitely worth visiting.

This review is for Taste of Portugal and NOT Boar Hat Wing House. Went here for a nice dinner. I really enjoy their picanha steak. The food was excellent as always. The service is good. It’s a small establishment with no real wait staff except I believe the owner. She does her best to take care of everyone but when the place gets busy, is hard for her to keep up. We say and waited and waited for our check while she waited on other tables and made cocktails at their bar for another. If you don’t mind the relaxed atmosphere, I do highly recommend them. I will definitely be going back myself. The parking is horrible but that’s mainly due to the poor setup and horrible drivers here on long island that can’t park between the lines. I don’t daily the restaurant for that. The prices are fair for what you get.
