BOA Steakhouse – Sunset Restaurant – West Hollywood, CA
Reviews
If you’re looking for the ultimate steakhouse experience in LA, BOA Steakhouse continues to set the bar impossibly high. From the ambiance to the final bite of dessert, every moment was flawless.
Here is a breakdown of the highlights from our meal:
The Cocktails
We started with a round of their signature cocktails. The presentation is stunning—one featured a beautifully dehydrated citrus wheel, and the other was a deep, moody berry-infused masterpiece with a sugar-dusted garnish. Perfectly balanced and potent.
The Appetizers
* Jumbo Shrimp Scampi: Served in a sizzling petite skillet with a perfectly charred, buttery baguette for dipping. The sauce was liquid gold.
* Crab Cake: Easily one of the best in the city. It was all meat, very little filler, topped with a crisp radish and micro-green salad that cut through the richness of the remoulade beautifully.
The Main Event
The Ribeye was a work of art. Seared to perfection with a deep, salty crust and topped with a melting disc of herb-infused compound butter. We paired it with their famous Fried Onion Strings—which were light, crispy, and dangerously addictive—and a side of fresh watercress to balance the plate.
The Grand Finale
We finished with the Warm Chocolate Chip Cookies. They arrived soft, gooey, and dusted with powdered sugar, accompanied by a rich chocolate dipping sauce. It’s a nostalgic, elevated comfort food moment that you cannot skip.
The Verdict: The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the vibe was classic LA chic. Whether it’s a date night or a celebration, BOA never misses.
We had a fantastic night from start to finish, enjoying both the food and the service provided by the entire staff. They made us feel genuinely cared for throughout the meal. To top it off, they brought my daughter a dessert with a sparkler, which she loved.
With a group of teenage girls, it can be challenging to please everyone due to their different tastes, but the restaurant managed to make all of them happy. Our primary server was exceptional and attentive, keeping everyone at the table laughing and providing us with welcome drinks since it was our first time at BOA.
The girls enjoyed a variety of dishes, including aged ribeye, lobster mac and cheese, mocktails, spaghetti with wagyu meatballs, and Lobster Fra Diavolo. They also loved the burrata heirloom tomatoes, and the table-side Caesar salad.
I highly recommend this location as they are intentional about every aspect of your dining experience. The wait staff was terrific as well. I couldn’t be more pleased with our night out, and we will definitely be back!
