Finally got around to try this vendor at the food court. Usually we get banh xeo or pho or com tam. I ordered #1 bo ne (basically Vietnamese-style steak and eggs). We waited about 5 minutes for our food, we ordered medium rare and it was perfect. Tender beef, we like the extras: salad, tea, dipping sauce if you needed more flavor. A great breakfast to share.

Amazing! Coworkers took me here for lunch and the flavor is out of this world. The pate is so savory and beef melts In your mouth. The freshest bread ever!

I was skeptical at first but this place was delicious. The total cost of this meal was $20 and it came with a side of salad, tea and bread.

The place is inside the food court of the Lion Market mall. Though it is not a fancy dinning place, the filet mignon set is quite impressive, especially for the price. The pate mixed with the egg yolk is perfect for the bread. Beef is tender (in 4~5 pieces) and you can even specify how you want it to be done (e.g. medium rare).

This place specializes in one dish: sizzling beef plate. If medium rare is not your thing, you can ask the chef to cook it a bit more – even when cooked to done, the beef remains perfectly soft. The peppery pate and the meatball are perfect complements to the eggs. If you’re not hungry, this breakfast can feed 2 people. The rest of the food court also offers other wonderful Vietnamese food.

Probably the best food I’ve had in San Jose. I was in absolute awe when I walked into the food court, as if I’d been transported to South East Asia. The food was amazing and the vibes were immaculate.

I wish we had a food court like this in San Francisco. Bo Ne Phu Yen’s sizzling Vietnamese steak and egg $20 was phenomenal. The steak was soft and thick with good marbling content marinated with a sweet sauce. The two scoops of meat pate gave it a good contrast between the flavors of the cilantro, eggs, raw onion slices and the steak. Before the pandemic, there were other items available like beef chow fun (hu tieu xao). We used to get that and a side of filet mignon to share. Now, only #1 is available. Luckily, this is a food court and I got some egg rolls from the next stall to fill me up. Good job my friends at Bo Ne Phu Yen. Thank you for the very good lunch today.

Came here on a Sunday for lunch around noon and the entire food court is packed, but especially this stand. I don’t think there was ever a time where there were no customers in line while we were sitting there. At that point, I assume they make an assembly line to churn out a ton of bo ne. We managed to grab a table and the wait was around 25 minutes.
