It was hard to decide what to get because everything sounded amazing. You can’t go wrong with the Creole wrap and sweet potato fries with honey! My partner had the loaded fries and potato pancakes. Everything was absolutely delicious. It’s an easy going atmosphere right by the Czech Village. It was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

No Macs was a great surprise when we walked through the doors. It was spacious and inviting. The decor is awesome and easy on the senses. The waitress was polite, courteous and attentive. The pub fries were excellent with crispy fries, delicious cheese. The tenderloin was thick and juicy with great breading. The broccoli was plentiful and cooked just right topped with parmesan. The veggies for the sandwiches were crisp and fresh. Plus, best of all, they have a great selection of beers on tap and make great mixed drinks. And peanut butter porter. This was a great surprise and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to eat, drink and socialize.

This was my first visit to Bo Mac’s. I had ridden by on my bicycle many times without ever noticing that this place existed, but my spouse visited with a friend and recommended it. I visited on a Saturday late morning, one in a group of hungry cyclists halfway through a 60-mile bicycle ride. It was just passed opening, and we were the first customers of the day. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and we ordered a variety of entrees for lunch. I also managed to find a draft beer that I had not previously tasted, which is no small feat. I had the mushroom and bleu cheese burger with their signature potato pancakes side. (For the record, these are not conventional potato pancakes that you might order at a breakfast place. Instead they are mashed potatoes, savory with herbs, and fried pancake style on a griddle. This is a description, not a criticism.) The burger and potato pancakes were both very tasty. Colleagues ordered the pork tenderloin, salmon sandwich & Reuben. Everyone in the group expressed satisfaction with their choices. We ate outside in the spacious and shady patio area, which features a raised platform for live music performances which generally occur weekly, weather permitting.

The atmosphere is very welcoming and relaxed. My husband and I stopped here for lunch on Father’s day. We split a 14″ Hawaiian pizza and Fried Bananas for dessert. The food was delicious. The pizza dough was fresh and not greasy at all. The waitress was really nice as well. Will definitely come here again.

Great bar and grill with great food and lots of seating. The tables are made from old rough cut wood. Very cool. The tenderloin is literally the best tenderloin I’ve had in decades! Pizza is really good and most of the food is hand made daily. The decoration is meet and the restaurant is clean. I will definitely be back!

Unfortunately the food here was mixed. The shrimp was way overcooked, tough and dry. The tenderloin however, was excellent and cook correctly. The soup was fantastic. The place was virtually empty on a Tuesday night and the service was slow and we were the only ones in there.

Seriously delicious!! This was my first time in Cedar Rapids and I heard that pork tenderloins were a delicacy here so I gave it a try and it didn’t disappoint. It was incredibly juicy, crispy, and wasn’t over breaded. My Dad ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich which I thought was also one of the best chicken sandwiches that I’ve had at a restaurant like this. It’s also very affordable and if I lived in the area I know that this would be a regular spot of mine. So if you’re in the area, I couldn’t recommend this place more.

My daughter and I wanted to go out to lunch for her birthday and after recently falling in love with Fried Green Tomatoes in Georgia we decided to try them at Bo Mac’s. We started with adult beverages, mine was an adult coffee beverage, forgot the name but they did brew fresh coffee for it. Next we ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes and Bruchetta. The FGT’s did not disappoint. I would prefer a little more seasoning in the breading but the Chipotle mayo made up for it. The Bruchetta is beautifully displayed. I’m not a big fan of it usually but it has avocado on it so we gave it a try. I like my avocado a bit less ripe than what was served but I would still recommend. For the entrée we split the Creole Chicken Wrap, It was delicious and tasted fresh. I ordered the homemade chicken noodle soup to go and it was amazing too. Steller service, if I had to guess, our server may have been the owner. The atmosphere is very comfortable and they have a cute & spacious outdoor patio too.

Had come down to Czech Village for Found + Formed shop and decided to try Bo Mac’s and so glad we did! I honestly thought it was just a lil bar with pub food, but it is so much more. Very varied menu options that we are excited to go back down with a group to try. Asked the server what was popular and she said tenderloin, so I got one and it was very good, (including the bun) potatoe caked were perfectly crispy on outside and melt in your mouth inside along with great savory flavor. My cousin got a hamburger and really enjoyed it along with fries Bo Mac style which includes cheese sauce, bacon, onion and serrano peppers(minus peppers). Staff was very freindly even when overwhelmed by a larger Thursday night crowd than they are used to..word must be getting out that this is a great addition to The District in downtown Cedar Rapids.
