The Thai Tea was not good– very diluted and way too sweet.
The fried squid was TOO salty! We ordered 6 different dishes and more than half of them were very salty and below average.
We like the fresh oranges at the end.
recommend black pepper steak, preserved meat fried rice (lap xuong) and garlic green beans!
Highlights:
✔ Authentic Cantonese Cuisine – Truly flavorful and well-executed dishes.
✔ Clay Pot Rice & Lamb Stew – Must-try items, cooked perfectly.
✔ Cozy Ambiance – Warm, inviting, and ideal for family gatherings.
Minor Downsides: Slightly crowded during peak dining hours.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)
Perfect for those seeking genuine Cantonese dishes. Highly recommend!
Our favorites are:
– XO tofu
– 黑椒牛柳 (black pepper beef)
– 避风塘茄子 (fried eggplant) ❤️
– 腊肉排骨煲仔饭 (smoked sausage and spare ribs clay pot rice)
– 干炒牛河 (beef chow fun)
The place was neat and had quick service. It was quick to made and came hot, but water and tea refill were slow.
The pepper steak was really good, beef was tender and the vegetables had a nice crunch. The chowfun had great flavor and wasn’t greasy like some places. Those salt & pepper ribs were probably the highlight though, perfectly crispy with just the right amount of seasoning and heat from the jalapeños.
Service was friendly and reasonably quick. Place is nothing fancy but clean and comfortable
We ordered three types of claypot rice:
• D3 Spare Ribs with XO Sause
• D5 Chinese Preserved Meat & Spare Ribs with Black Bean Sause
• D6 Chinese Preserved Meat
They kindly let us know it takes about 30 minutes to prepare since claypot rice is cooked fresh. Totally worth the wait! The rice was perfectly crispy at the bottom, flavorful, and packed with that classic wok aroma. We ate every single grain — it was that good.
We also had the C15 Lamb Brisket Hotpot (seasonal price), which was absolutely worth it. Every ingredient complemented each other beautifully, especially the bamboo shoots — so tender and full of flavor. The lamb was incredibly soft, juicy, and well-marinated.
And don’t miss the Snow Pea Leaves in Superior Broth with Century Egg and Salted Egg Yolk — rich, umami-packed, and so comforting.
This meal left me beyond satisfied. It’s the kind of food I could eat every day — comforting, delicious, and made with heart. Highly, highly recommend!
