Tommy was amazing. We had a few hiccups on the food but it worked out for us. Tommy was sooo pleasant and professional. Marcus our bartender at the beginning was awesome. He welcomed us right. I have been here before and my first visit was not good. So I gave it another try. Glad I did. We had an amazing girls night out for the new year.

My friends and I traveled from Los Angeles to Washington DC to watch the Raiders play the commanders at the northwest stadium. We decided to do some local dining. We had heard about BLVCK Cow and said that we would try it the next time we arrived in town. Our waitress was Kayla and we just fell in love with her and fell in love with the food even more. We had lamb chops that were so succulent. We had some pasta and salmon and another pasta with shrimp. We had the lobster mac & cheese. everything was simply delectable and met all of our expectations. We will be back!

Absolutely wonderful venue!! We had a gathering for our Beloved Howard University & the place we did not disappoint! The service, manager of hour & of the food was outstanding!! The spot itself is cute — I can imagine it has a great vibe on a Friday or Saturday night.

Our waitress was really sweet, but she didn’t seem to know much about the menu. The guy who brought out the food looked very unhappy — straight-faced and not approachable, which threw off the energy a bit. Waited for a long time for water and it taste like she got it from the sink …

Overall, the food was just okay — very mid. The photos online make it look like fine dining at its best, but the experience didn’t match that. The oxtails were decent. We ordered jollof rice but were served a yellow rice that definitely wasn’t jollof — that was disappointing because I know what real jollof tastes like. The curry goat was okay but not particularly flavorful. It also seemed like they were rationing portions, maybe because several items on the menu were unavailable. The rice and peas tasted old, not freshly cooked.
Maybe it’s better on another day, but based on this visit, it was just mid at best. We’re one and done.

Great experience. Live DJ. WE were able to get there on a Saturday around 6 before the dinner rush. Drinks were strong and staff were supper friendly. Large portions. Would definitely check out again. Side note: If you are a cigar smoker, they do have outdoor seating!

I went with a friend for brunch February 22. The hostess couldn’t find our reservation, which we made weeks in advance. Ok, no problem. She was able to seat us at the bar. We waited 25 minutes without ever being acknowledged. No water. No “we’ll be right with you.” No eye contact. Nothing. Servers walked by our table as if we didn’t exist. At that point, we left to go to another restaurant. On the way out, I asked to speak to the manager. The hostess said she was in the kitchen and would be right out. We waited for 10 minutes and no one came out to speak with us. Poor service and no accountability from the manager. If you value your time, don’t waste it by going here.

I’ve been twice and each time the service was outstanding! Drinks are a balance of strong and delicious. The food is a strong 3.5-4 and the atmosphere is a 4. But the staff makes everything better. I really like that there is a DJ or music to support the atmosphere. There is plenty of free parking.

This place was interesting. We saw that there were mixed reviews but we still decided to give it a shot because Sunday Funday and who doesn’t love a good brunch ? One of my friends got there around 1:45. Upon arrival she ordered the hot honey biscuits. I arrived around 2:15 and they still hadn’t been served. Another friend got there around 2:20ish and they still weren’t there. They brought them out around 2:30 after 2 reminders. Our server mentioned to us that he was the bartender but due to the short staff he was also working as a server so he asked for patience. Which was a little off putting to me but we’re here so, okay. Put our order in and we were informed they were out of the bacon (on Sunday?! For Brunch?!). So I settled for turkey sausage. I ordered the fluffy cakes thinking they would be like the ones I saw in pics on the Google page but what I got were much thinner and they seemed to use a wheat like batter. The pancakes and waffles both crumbled considerably and immediately absorbed the syrup. 2 of my friends ordered scrambled eggs and both of them had the eggs removed from the bill because of dissatisfaction. The grits were AMAZING along with the DJ’s playlist but besides that, that’s most of what I can say I enjoyed. I don’t think I will be back.
