This was my first time at Blutos. Two less stars for the person who put tooooo much of tumaric on the rice. I’d be surprised if that is their recipe but I’d say it was just that day. The rice had a ton of tumeric (see picture) which tasted bad and smelled worse. However, the server guy went above and beyond making sure about everything else. He was great! Love the ambiance too. I’d actually give 3 stars because of the rice but the service earned that extra one star making it four in total. It’s just the rice that sucked!

This place is authentically good! Their hummus is amazing too! It’s one of the best Greek restaurants I have ever eaten at for sure; I’ve eaten at many all over the U.S. & have worked for a Greek chef too!!

First time having the breakfast from here and I was overjoyed to say the least. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and Blutos does it well! The omelette was superb and the pancake was big, fluffy, and delicious. I’ll be back for sure

Hidden fees for the takeout, they charged all as shown on bill, then another extra 2$ transaction in the night. Portions are small, e.g. the 12$ Mediterranean salad is of a side salad size, literally three bites. Gyro was mostly tasteless and the consistency was more like fried pate than meat. Falafel appetizer was so burnt it was almost impossible to chew. Oh, and they sign you to email newsletter, even when the option was not marked during order. Tried once, won’t be comming back.

We visited this place with 5 adults and a child. Some of us shared plates. We ordered Pita Moz, it didn’t look pretty but it was tasty. The margarita was delicious along with the chicken kebabs. The hummus and pita chips were delicious too. The service was fantastic but I didn’t read that gratuity was automatic but it was noticed when we received the bill. If there is a next time, we will have to watch the ordering of drinks. Lol

Shocked at our lack of decent service. Thursday, April 24th as soon as we arrived in town we went hastily to Bluto’s. Our hostess and server said “you know we close in 50 minutes”. We were fully aware and we ready to quickly place our order.
The 2 male servers with beards that were serving other patio tables were being very friendly. But, do not end up in the section with the tiny skinny gal, can’t find the receipt now, but think male was Molly.
She gave a very bad vibe. She wanted to lock up and go home or “go out”. My husband was looking at the menu when ordering and asked politely if the gyro came with a side. He was trying to figure it out, she wouldn’t give him a verbal answer. He had to look up to see her head nod.
Another server also finally brought us some silverware.
We used to get more food for the money. Prices quite a bit higher and portion significantly less!

We went expecting to have Greek for lunch. On the weekends, they serve brunch. Despite that the food was excellent!!
Our server was fantastic! We sat outside and the weather was perfect.

Our first time eating out in town while visiting MSU.
I ordered the cauliflower salad along with the spanakopitas. I enjoyed my salad, it was so good, I loved the fried cauliflower and the tartness of the artichoke and capers. The spanakopitas were nice and crisp and were good.
My son got the chicken kabob he enjoyed everything except for the hummus and pita. We love hummus and this hummus was not smooth, but quite chunky and it just tasted like ground chick peas. The pita chips looked good but were a bit stale. We will probably ask for extra rice next time as my son really enjoyed the Greek rice.
This was a great introduction to the food in the area. Can’t wait to try out more when we visit again.

Stopped in for lunch and this place hit a home run. Cool little spot right along University. Tried the smoked tuna appetizer with pita chips and the Greek quesadilla. Both were extremely good. I could eat those pita chips daily and the spicy feta on the quesadilla was darn good. Megan was our server and she took good care of us. Service and food were prompt and perfect. 100% will return next time we’re in town.

I thoroughly enjoyed eating here. I wanted to go hours where there was less crowd so I went in the late afternoon.. I ordered the Alabama chicken gyro with tzatziki sauce on side and seasoned fries.. also ordered the cissy secret drink and extra pita bread. The waiter was super friendly and it was a nice atmosphere inside and outside.. hadn’t visited since the establishment was named Humble Taco, but I think I like Bluto’s Greek Tavern best. I spent around ~$27. Slightly a splurge but it was my self care day and I enjoyed the food. I would return again.
