My mother and I came into town and ran upon Bluewater Grill. The restaurant is adjacent to a gas station and the one thing I’ll say is this — don’t judge a book by it’s cover!! We started off with a bowl of the She Crab Soup and a dozen raw oysters. The soup was superb and creamy. There are days when I prefer it to be brothier however I was in the mood for something rich and this hit the spot. The oysters were shucked and prepared well; specifically clean and cold just how I like it! They were a really great size as well!
For dinner, my mother opted for the House Salad with Shrimp in a Citrus Vinaigrette. The shrimp were a decent size and the spring greens were a nice surprise as my mother expected iceberg lettuce. I had a hodge-podge of items: the catfish with their spicy creole sauce along with brussel sprouts and corn. I travel and eat varieties of great food and what I’ll say is this — they did a superb job on the breading of the catfish! And the Brussel Sprouts were a simple flash fry that left a perfect amount of crunch.
I didn’t expect much from Bluewater Grill but was pleasantly surprised in the food and flavors. Kudos to the chef who was asked out by a separate table for a commendation. Great job on your food and thank you to the rest of Bluewater Grill who made our meal in Columbus so enjoyable.

Hostess was a little on the rude side, I am guessing because they were understaffed and she didn’t want to do hostess duties. She seemed very irritated. However I actual waitress was great. Can’t remember her name but she was so sweet (Short, long hair, glasses middle aged woman). Very apologetic and attentive. She suggested the amazing things to try, like the sauted crab claws…AMAZING.
Would I go back, maybe since I’m from DMV and love seafood. But no guarantee, wasn’t memorable but was nice. We got there around 7pm and by 8pm the place was very smoky!!! I am assuming because the Oysters are smoked and that seemed to be the most popular dish. We got them but I didn’t like all the parmesean (store container) flakes they dumped on the oysters. Fresh parm would of definitely allowed you to taste the oysters. But anyway, it was a nice evening and overall we enjoyed.

Such a cute little spot. Tucked away, if we hadn’t have seen a billboard on veterans parkway we probably would never have known it existed. Tristan was attentive and engaging. He got our order correct, checked on us adequately, and was pleasant. He made recommendations and suggestions as it was our first visit. There was a lady with a cheetah print hat that brought our son his shrimp and French fries, she was positive and her energy was so infectious. Loved the atmosphere, the wall decor and the food. Everything was hot, flavorful, and reasonably priced. We will be back to try more options. Undoubtedly recommend.

Dont be discouraged by location. Food hear is fantastic and service was excellent. We had Robin as our waiter, he was very knowledgable and helpful. We got cheese curds to start with, they were good, but not fresh Midwest cheese curd good. Also got a cup of gumbo, my wife says it was amazing. For dinner we both got fried fish and chips. Was a little underwhelmed at the size of the three pieces of fish. What it lacked in size though, was instantly change with the flavor. They used grouper and the breading was some of the best I’ve had. The fries were good but nothing really special. Overall, a great experience.

So you pull up and think hmmmm wonder what this is going to be like because it is attached to a gas station. But, Oh My what a Delightful Surprise after the almost 1 hour wait which is totally understandable. The crab claws(we ordered both fried and sautéed) were the best I have ever had. The waitress(GINGER I THINK) had the best attitude ever! The smoked gouda grits were not disappointing. The chocolate cake at the end was to die for. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked great! It is well worth the wait for the quality of food! Just don’t keep driving because of the outside!

This place is incredible! The hostess Jennifer is the epitome of Southern hospitality, with the most warm and welcoming spirit. The waitresses are the attentive and personable. The food is amazing! We’ve been here two days in a row, the alligator is perfect and the She Crab soup is so warm and delicious. Cannot recommend this place enough!!

Excellent place to get dinner. We ordered the fried oysters and 3 fish dinner options. Plenty of food and the oyster sauce is to die for. Homemade from what they told us. I’ll be back next time I’m in the area.

Our server was great! Everything else was horrible. The salad was a 2×2 plate with leaves on it. The burger looked and tasted like they made it in the microwave. Food took forever to come out and was cold. One of the cocktails ordered at my table tasted like gasoline and there was major pushback about getting it replaced. Just don’t go
