I’ve been in Idaho falls since July and like, been trying to find the best food in town and these guys got my recommendation for best burger I’ve had so far being here. Well definitely be coming back.

Best burger ever.
I could stop there, but I won’t. I visited Idaho Falls and was told that I had to try the Blue waves burgers. I heard that the burgers and pickles are made in house and of course they use local potatoes. It’s obvious that Blue wave makes their food FRESH. The burgers and fries we ordered came out hot and all of the food was loved!

Cool vibe and the people behind the bar were great. THEY NEED MORE WORKERS ONE PERSON TO TAKE ORDERS MAKE DRINKS THEN ONE PERSON TO COOK AINT ENOUGH honestly I feel bad for the lady working today but I remember when the blue wave was one of the best places to go but now it’s just awful the service wasn’t good at all and the time before that a lady tried to ID my 11 year old sister for a Shirley Temple are you kidding me then us adults all waited to get another drink but she never came back around then when we were leaving she said “I was going to check on you but you only get the one drink right?” that would be a no we wanted to order a whole bunch of other drinks and food but ain’t no point when your not even getting any service I really miss how it used to be

Just had an awesome experience at The Blue Wave! Travis and Jen is killing it in the kitchen. Amber was my server and seriously made me feel right at home. She kept checking in, always smiling, and I never went without food or a drink. Highly recommend this spot if you want great vibes and even better food!

This is definitely a dive bar for locals. We came in for an early dinner and there were several families dining in playing pool or giant jenga with their kids. It was such a fun vibe. A coworker suggested Blue Wave and we were excited to try “the best burgers in Idaho Falls”.
Unfortunately, outside of the fun atmosphere, the rest of the experience was lackluster. We seated ourselves and waited close to 20 minutes for anyone to acknowledge we were there. It wasn’t just us either. The table across from us were also clearly tapping their feet in anticipation. Someone from that table actually ended up walking over to the bar to ask for service. Once our waitress finally made it to the table, we had mulled over what we were going to order more times than I can count. But alas, we made a decision.
We ordered mini corndogs, a pastrami burger for my fiancé, and a mushroom & swiss burger for myself. Both burgers came with a side of fries — I wanted tater tots but they were all out.
Let’s talk taste. The mini corndogs were burnt. I actually think they would’ve tasted so much better if that weren’t the case. The chef gave us more corndogs than what’s on the menu but that’s probably because he knew they were burnt (LOL)! The pastrami burger was meh. I can’t think of another word to describe it. The beef patty was overcooked and the pastrami slices were dry. My mushroom & swiss burger was better but still not good. The beef patty was cooked to a medium-well but lacked flavor. There were no condiments on my burger so I kept dipping it in fry sauce hoping that would give it some life.
I’m not sure why The Blue Wave gets hyped up so much. We won’t be coming back — at least not for the food.

Came in a few weekends back and the owner (Shayla?) Was beyond intoxicated making a fool of herself and completely ruining the environment of the bar. To be honest I thought she was just a rowdy patron until I said something about it to an older guy at the bar and he said she was the owner. I sat near her next to my buddies and she reached over and grabbed my beer and started drinking it. To be clear, there was a seat at the bar between us. I saw her act rude towards her own staff and could tell they were stressed out dealing with her. Also saw her aggressively flirting with a man who was very obviously not into her and not allowing him to turn down her advances. Made me very uncomfortable to witness. If she is the face of this establishment this is not somewhere I’ll be coming back to. Seriously unprofessional.
