fantastic experience at Blue Sake Sushi Grill. We ordered the Thriller baked roll, Lion King roll, Jalapeño Popper roll, San Marcos roll, and Cherry Bomb nigiri — every single item was a hit.
Our favorites were the San Marcos and the Thriller. The Thriller baked roll was rich and flavorful without being heavy, and the San Marcos had the perfect balance of freshness, texture, and flavor. The hot popper roll had a great kick, the Cherry Bomb nigiri was super fresh, and the charred spicy garlic edamame was delicious.
Excellent food, very good green tea, great presentation, and solid service. Easily one of the best sushi spots in Surprise — we’ll definitely be back.

We stopped in Blue Sushi Sake Grill for dinner. For 7PM on a Saturday, there was only a 20 minute wait. They have an extensive menu and many different cocktail options.
Our server, Izabel, was attentive and knowledgeable. She gave great recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal.
Prices are a little on the higher side, but the food was absolutely worth it. The Beef Hot Rock with the jalapeño ponzu was incredible. We also had the Calamari, and I tried the Coconut Crab Soup — I personally really liked it and would definitely get it again. For rolls, we kept it simple with the Crunchy L.A. and the Lion King, both were good without being too fancy. Lastly, dessert, the chocolate torte was smaller than I expected but still good.
We are already excited to go back and try more things on the menu!

My friend and I checked this place out on a whim. Great atmosphere, great staff and good sushi. Mark the manager was out and stopped at our table to make sure we enjoyed everything. Serena was our server and she went above and beyond to make sure she answered any questions we had! A great place to stop for Sushi when I’m out in Surprise for sure!

2/22/26: 6 for dinner. 1st time eating at Blue. Sunday is a great day as it’s happy hour all day = lots of options at lower prices! Giselle E was our server and she is AWESOME – friendly, knowledgeable and made great recommendations. Food was excellent as well as the presentation. We will be back!

Drove 40 minutes to try this sushi spot and it was definitely worth it. I was greeted by the hosts and requested a sushi bar seat. Asked our sushi chef, Sam, for recommendations and fully put our trust on him on what is good or not. Turns out that everything is good. The chefs were very knowledgeable about everything they’re serving. Our server Janelle also provided a great service. Often checking on us throughout our experience. Definitely recommend this place and is now my favorite sushi spot.

Hands down one of the best sushi experiences I’ve ever had! Every single roll was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared – you can truly taste the quality. Sitting at the bar made the night even more special. Executive Chef Adrian and Chef Sam were phenomenal – not only are they masters at their craft, but they made the experience engaging and fun. Our server, Allie, was also wonderful – so attentive, friendly, and accommodating to everything we needed, which really tied the whole experience together.

We had Andrew as our bartender an server we sat at the bar this was our 3rd time visiting the first time we had Amderw and he was pick up a shift on a Wednesday we enjoy the happy hour all day Sundays they make it more of an experience by bringing the rolls out in a boat for extra fun! Andrew always goes above and beyond to make our experience the best we can get hes an asset to blue sushi we hope to have him as our server every time!!

We went into this place not really knowing anything about it, and we are glad that we did because it was phenomenal. The hostess, our server, Charlisse and the food were so good. We ordered calamari, Hawaiian roll, LA crunch and red crunch. The calamari came out blazing hot, so it was super fresh. The rolls were all so delicious. Our server Charlisse was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. Definitely recommend, the vibe is beautiful and the service was great. Also, their happy hour menu is so inexpensive compared to so many other places and it’s a long happy hour…From 11:30 AM till 6:30 PM Monday through Saturday.

We went during their grand opening and I’m still thinking about how good the sushi was! So happy this is now in Surprise, because it is everything we need. The vibes are awesome, and the service is on point. Joshua was our server on grand opening night and he did not fail us. He was great! He made some great suggestions that I really enjoyed. The price was perfect too, for all that we ordered and the quality and taste of the sushi. We will be back for sure!
