Food was excellent, drinks were strong, service was spectacular! Absolutely no complaints. Large restaurant with a fun and calm ambiance, we were seated right away and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. I also ordered a couple rolls to take home for my husband, they went above and beyond with packing it all up and making sure he’d have everything he needed to enjoy it at home. We will definitely be back.

The wait is forever to get your sushi at this place on Sunday. We came right after a graduation ceremony on Sunday. And they have happy hours all day long on Sunday. But it took almost 2 hours to get our food once seated inside. So be prepared when you come here on Sunday.

This is fantastic vegan sushi! I tried four rolls, and they were all great. They did a great Vegan take on eel and salmon. The crispy Brussels sprouts were crunchy and savory with a great flavor.

We had a fabulous late afternoon lunch at Blue! We started with lemon drop martini’s and the Brussel sprouts. Both awesome. The Tuna tower was delicious as well as the crispy chicken salad and the Tidal wave roll! Our waiter Casey was also the bartender. He is super talented, very attentive and offered great suggestions! We wrapped up with a dirty martini that was also just right! Definately recommend!

My mom and I went here before our showing to see SIX at the civic center! We were seated and served right away. To drink I had the coco Hydration mocktail which was delicious. To start we shared a platter of mango crab Rangoon also delicious. Then to eat I had the Avo Kaluna which had a plant-based Tuna which I had never heard of before but it was tasty as was the second roll I had which was the Cowgirl also one of their many vegan rolls. I was very impressed by the sheer amount of vegan/vegetarian options they had which is something you don’t often get at restaurants in Des Moines. Will definitely be coming here again!

We had a great lunch experience here. Our server, Daisee, was great and had some awesome recommendations (even for our next visit- tempura fried ice cream). We ordered the dragon fruit lemonade (not too sweet!), coconut crab soup (nice texture, not spicy, great depth of flavor), river rock beef (really fun to see/hear, great flavor), mango Rangoons (light and flaky), tidal wave and just shrimp tempura sushi rolls (not too much cream cheese, fresh tempura crunch), and chocolate spring rolls (tasty dessert- the chocolate was kind of semi sweet, so was a great balance between the creamy ice cream and sweet raspberry sauce).

Total 10/10. Kaleb (our server) was amazing. Super attentive, funny, and great at recommending stuff. The Cowgirl roll was probably the best vegan sushi I’ve ever had, and the tempura ice cream was HUGE! Thank you for making my birthday memorable!
