So, I was introduced to Blue Sunday Bar & Grill one Saturday evening. Upon entry, I quickly took the opportunity to adore the aesthetic of this place. To me, it was giving a chic, vibrant, yet modern aesthetic.

When we arrived, it was a fairly busy/packed evening, however, we were seated within 15 or so minutes. Within a couple of minutes of being seated, our waiter introduced himself and gave us some honest insight on some of the dishes we had interest in, which was greatly appreciated.

For our appetizers, we first had the fried catfish, which was fried/breaded perfectly. However, the catfish was lacking the oomph I needed via a little more seasoning. We also had the Louisiana Gumbo, which was flavored very well. For this dish, I really did appreciate the waiter’s disclaimer that the gumbo is really good, however, it’s not exactly like an actual gumbo made in Louisiana.

On to the entrees. Unfortunately, the entrees took a very long time to come out, which was definitely a test of maintaining my composure under hunger. So, by the time our food came out, there was added build up to try/immediately devour our dishes. For my main dish, I ordered the ribeye steak (which was cooked at a medium) with some asparagus. Similar to the fried catfish, I felt that the ribeye also needed more seasoning, however, the sauce that came with this dish added a unique flavor that made the ribeye enjoyable. The asparagus on the other hand were made to my liking. My friend had the General Tso chicken with fried rice which was simply okay.

Overall, I had an average experience here.

Stopped in during a visit to town for business and had an absolutely fantastic happy hour experience. The crab bites were amazing—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The drinks were well-crafted with beautiful presentation, making happy hour feel upscale and intentional.
The lamb chops were nothing short of magnificent—tender, seasoned to perfection, and cooked just right. And the dessert? Dashing, indulgent, and the perfect ending to an already stellar evening.
Excellent atmosphere, great attention to detail, and a must-visit spot when you’re in town. I’ll definitely be back!

Been a couple of times. It’s great for people that love when customers shout at each other from across the bar and twerk when they get shots, but if you want to enjoy your food in peace this isn’t the spot for you. Also, I prefer my food to not be served with handprints IN the bowl with my food. ICK. I tried to enjoy but I just couldn’t mentally get past the handprints.

We recently visited Blue Sunday and had a pleasant experience, primarily due to the good service. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout the meal—definitely the highlight of the evening.

However, the food was just okay. I ordered the Singapore Noodles, which were okay because, and the Salmon Rolls, which were also fine. I also tasted the Asparagus, which was underwhelming. My friend had the Lamb Chops and commented that they were okay, but not standout.

Blue Sunday is a great spot if you value a pleasant atmosphere and high-quality service, but the menu execution needs to be sharpened to match the prices and ambiance.

I was super excited to check out this restaurant. I’ve visited their other locations and always sat in the bar/lounge area — it’s comfortable, relaxed, and a great spot for mingling or catching a game. You can also dine in the main dining area if you prefer a more traditional setting.

The bartenders were very attentive and made sure our glasses stayed full, which I really appreciated instead of having to constantly ask.

They have a nice happy hour menu — and it’s offered on the weekends too!

The food is very flavorful, with a fun American/Asian-inspired twist.

This location is larger than the Bowie location! Great food & great service. However they have to do something about the doors. While the inner doors are cute, they were often left open and the cold draft had many guests freezing cold. Our table asked that at least 1 of the 3 people standing at the reception area ensure the door remained closed. Below are the beef short ribs and a birthday brownie.

My first and last visit. The service was not worth it, food was basic, my bar drink was horrible and $110 gone. I met up with three girlfriend’s and we all had the same thoughts on the food, drinks and service. The atmosphere was rushed and not customer friendly. The restaurant felt like a fancy looking hospital cafeteria. We were told twice of a limited dining time (by host staff & server). I observed that other tables who were seated and eating upon our arrival sat past the limited times. I recommend for the purpose of counsumer feedback that management meet with guests and identify the needed feedback.

LIKE THAT! Their Wings ($16 eight fries wings with their Mumbo sauce). Nicely crispy, fried hard wings with a spicy Mumbo sauce!!

STAMP! Their Cheesesteak Egg Rolls ($16 with steak, cheese, & onions). A crisp wonton shell, cheesy, & meaty!!

STAMP!! Spicy Curry Fried Rice ($19 with chicken, shrimp, veggies, & rice). A good balance between mildly spicy, & flavorful, with plenty of protein!!

LIKE THAT! Their General Tso’s Chicken ($21 with broccoli, & fried rice). Spicy, well fried, & saucy chicken, with fresh broccoli!

STAMP!! Their Lobster Scallop Medley ($36 with grilled lobster, & pan seared scallops with a creamy cajun sauce, & asparagus). Well seasoned buttery lobster, the asparagus needed a lil bit more flavor, & the scallops were a tad fishy…DELICIOUS.

This place is top tier. The ambiance and decor are beyond fabulous. The place simply looks like money. The walls are textured different dining layouts amazing architecture. Lots of gold and brass the lighting is crazy gorgeous. The bar is huge and actually has 2 islands behind the bar from Asian and American entrees to delectable appetizers. The stuffed shrimp cheese steak Eggrolls crab dip Philadelphia roll and chowder did not miss. Our server Brittany was excellent. She was extremenly attentive. The place is beautiful. Cute birthday performance Drinks are excellent. I had the Blue Sunday signature drink and my friend had the Coconut Mojito, excellent. Gorgeous queen working the bar with a big afro, gave it that added touch. I also had the salted caramel vanilla cake it was wonderful. Definitely sufficient staff all in sync with headsets. This place has a private dining area and stage. The design of every section is amazing. This is s very classy place. Great for wonderful date night, out of town guest, entertaining colleagues, I will be back and they have a rewards program. Only draw back is the floor is slippery I was dressed so I was wearing heels, I had to skate along lol other than that I recommend to those 5 ***** top tier crowd looking for elegance good food and ambiance.
