I have eaten dinner here twice. My wife and I visited as we were passing through the area on our way home from Florida last year. I am in the area again and stopped for dinner tonight. Both times I have been here the food and service has been great! Tonight I had fried oysters, they were cooked perfectly. I enjoyed the lemon berry cake for dessert. The maple butter served with the breads is a nice added touch.

Usually the food is great but my husband and I ate at blue stone last night. Friday the 23rd I ordered the salmon baked potato and salad the salmon was over cooked the baked potato was burnt on skin which made the potato inside taste dry and burnt the blue cheese dressing on my salad was runny like watered down with no blue cheese chunks and my hush puppies were dirty and cold . We have eaten here a lot and in past was really good not this time I don’t know if there is a new cook or what happened. My husband ordered steak and oysters and baked potato and asparagus his oysters the breading was soggy and mushy from the steak instead of putting them on the edge on opposite side of steak where the baked potato was the steak was cooked perfect for what he ordered medium but it was full of grizzle all through it. Our food wasn’t cheap 95 dollars for 2 people. So could you please adjust and or fix this issue in the future. I hate to give such a negative review but reviews are there to improve and critique issues to improve quality of food or service.

Missing a 5th star because they were out of potatoes and totally forgot the substitute greens. The food we did get was served piping hot and was delicious.

This place is a hidden gem! I’ve lived in the area my whole life and I can’t believe I’ve waited this long to try it. It’s the cutest little place that I would describe as rustic charm meets hunting lodge. We visited Tuesday night and it was quite full! I can imagine that this place fills up quickly on the weekends, and for obvious reasons. You’re greeted with welcoming smiles as soon as you enter the building. Our waitress was very polite and attentive, ensuring we never had an empty glass and delivered delicious hush puppies and rolls while we waited for our meal. We opted for the fried chicken and hand chopped steak for entrees. For sides we chose beet salad, collard greens, baked potato, and coleslaw. Everything we chose were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. And the portions were quite impressive! You will definitely need to come hungry or prepare to take some home with you. We can’t wait to go back and try some seafood options!

The food here was amazing. The young host was super friendly and the staff were great. The place was packed, due to their food I’m sure. The ac is broke and the staff was overwhelmed with how busy it was and the heat but they were attentive and very kind. The food and service out weighed the heat.

I will start off by saying the server was exceptionally nice. Even when they were packed full, he still attended to our larger party’s drinks and got the food out promptly. The food was a little more disappointing then expected, the steak was far more fatty than usual so I feel like I paid more for fat than food. The fried seafood platter had a good assortment of seafood, however the flavoring in the batter and fries that came as a side just wasnt there. The fries weren’t crisp, more of a floppy mess, and as mentioned previously, had no seasoning (even salt) or much of a flavor at all really. I asked our kind server if he could put the fries back in and fortunately that made them a little more bearable. Overall I’d give this place a solid 3.8. Great atmosphere, great service, just lackluster food, hope i just caught them at a bad time

I was visiting in this area and my family recommended that we stop here. We had to wait quite a while for a table. Once seated, everything went smoothly. The service was good. The food was delicious.

First time eating here even though we’ve lived in the area for years. You need to be in line before they open, or you’ll be waiting. Seats fill up fast, and the place is not very big. The service was great considering how busy they were. Food was good. I did not get a picture of the steam shrimp appetizer, but it is definitely worth getting! The seafood platter (pictured) is a good way to try their seafood. The oysters are only served raw. Definitely recommend trying this place out.

This was an interesting restaurant. We read about their delicious fried clams, but alas, they ran out of them before we got there. Instead we doubled our order of spicy shrimp and had the catfish (very good!) and steak for dinner. Our waitress was friendly and attentive.
The restaurant is accessible. There is parking outside, a little tight to get in and out of.
