The customer service experience is great. You are greeted with a warm welcome as you approach to the order desk. The crispy chicken taco was very good, and tasty. The shrimp taco was very good. My steak taco was tasty, but needed salsa. Please make sure you order your salsa favors because we did not receive any. I did order chips w/salsa, and guacamole. I did not receive my side order of salsa that comes with to go on your tacos. Their rice was nicely seasoned, but the refried beans were a little salty. They were on ABC news Chicago, they were very busy. So please order ahead of time. Overall the beautiful lady that worked there has a very welcoming spirit, and she warms up the place .

Best Tacos I’ve had in Illinois. So tired of the El Burrito Loco style of Mexican food. It’s like a greasy spoon. Blue Star tacos is not that. Good flavors fresh food friendly staff a perfect 10 all around. Cilantro, fresh meats, original taco choices. Not just meat and cheese these tacos are way above the bar. Complex flavors going on here and very cheap for what you get. My wife and I had 3 tacos each and street corn for less than 30 bucks with drinks. I have a hard time getting away with McDonald’s for that price. Hope they build one in my town.

Went here for taco Tuesday and they didn’t disappoint. Staff is friendly and very patient considering it was my first time coming here and I didn’t know what to choose from the wide variety on the menu. Tacos are great! The crispy chicken taco is my favorite. Paid about $12 altogether for my meal and the chips and salsa came with my meal for free. The dining area is very clean and comfortable. Wouldn’t mind coming back!

1 word, 3 syllables…. DE-LI-COUS!!!! First time ordering from Blue Star via Uber Eats. I’ve tried like 5 taco spots in the area. Some good, some not so good. Wanted something new/different/better so I took a chance on Blue Star. This place did not disappoint.
I ordered the fish and steak tacos, brussel sprout quesadillas along with a side of beans and rice. Eveything was nicely packed with a nice presentation. The fish tacos were my first bite and it was a party in my mouth. The fish was fried just right, the slaw was fresh and crunchy and the special sauce was the perfect compliment. When I usually get fish tacos they are seved with flour tortillas, but theirs is with blue corn. I actually perfer the corn now based on the flavor profile. Really good! The steak taco was amazing too. Perfectly grilled sliced steak with a generous portion piled on a corn tortilla topped with cilantro and onions. Basic, but super delicious. The sauces served on the side were all good. They packed 4 options. I preferred the regular red hot sauce over the others, so I will be sure to ask for extra next time. Now the brussel sprout quesadilla is certainly non-traditional yet it held its own. The brussel sprouts appeared to be roasted which is the best way to eat them. Combined with the black beans, cheese, corn and toppings it was surprisingly tasty! [Now my picture doesn’t do my meal justice, but I wanted to share so readers would know I’m not a bot. ;-)]
My first time eating from here and it was an excellent experience! Once this whole pandemic situation simmers down I’m definitely dining in so I can enjoy a margarita. Price may be just a bit more than other neighborhood spots, but they offer a whole different food experience so its definitely worth it! I have a new homebase for tacos and other Mexican food fare!

Fantastic food love this place so much. Everyone working here is so nice and the restaurant is fantastic to eat at. I can’t say enough great things about the food and the people. All the little details in the decor it’s just amazing. Its a definite hot spot you will not be disappointed!!!

Yesterday night we decided to go out and get something to eat and we found ourselves at Blue Star Taqueria. We went right at the perfect time because shortly after we sat down it started to get busy! Sitting there watching the staff work through everything so quickly and efficiently was a site to behold and, despite it all, our food was brought to our table in no time. We got some of the Aztec Asada tacos and the Pork Al Pastor tacos and MY GOD. I literally dug in! I didn’t even think about taking pictures of them, but they were full of meat and the toppings were amazing and FRESH FRESH. The tacos had plenty of meat, the cheese on the Aztec tacos was gooey perfection, and the pineapple on the Pork tacos was cooked to perfection. I even absolutely loved the tomatoes/pico on the Aztec ones, and I typically HATE tomatoes. I also got an order of the jalapeño Mexican street corn and if I could go back and get a bucket of just that I would. You also get chips and salsa when you dine in and they give you four different flavors of salsa with the cutest little spoons. Again, if I could order a bucket of something it would be the mango salsa!! The chips were hot and extremely flavorful and the salsas go wonderfully with the tacos. Before I even forget, GET THE HORCHATA. It is SOOO DELICIOUS. I got it twice. Once traditional and then I ordered the horchata milkshake with churros before I left. I have never had such amazing tacos before in my life. I cannot wait to go back and try more from their menu!!

Blue Star Taqueria and Margarita’s Restaurant has the best tacos I’ve ever had tried!!!! I love the different varieties and meat choices they have. Their tacos are exquisitely traditional with a modern taste that no other restaurant have. Their seasonings and the delicious flavors is what I loved!!! I recommend the fish, carne asada, pastor tacos. I would definitely stop by more than once. Their staff is friendly, the place is clean, I really recommend it.

First time here was an a good experience I have no complaints. The decor is beautiful. It provides a wonderful uniqueness. The theme is taco truck mixed with a farm theme and honestly they nailed it. The place is clean and so unique. I did not expect it being so nice it’s in Justice but don’t let the location fool you. Btw the service is the same way a food truck is, you order and you pick your order up at the window. I tried the shrimp tacos and strawberry/mango margarita and it was good. Also, this is a woman owned business, I support! 🙂
