Winona answered the phone and was so welcoming and friendly even though she was the only waitress there today. She was so attentive and quick and kind and she made sure to go out of her way for me. The clam chowder was excellent, beautiful, and hit the spot on a rainy day.

We stopped in here for a glass of wine while strolling along the Embarcadero in Morro Bay. Lots of cute shops. Fun to look at the boats on the Bay and scenery while sitting on the back deck. We had good service but noticed they were short staffed as some guests seemed to be getting impatient. Overall, good experience & great stop along the way while visiting the area.

The view is great and the staff is friendly. The windows are very dirty and it ruins the experience. The prices are very high, even higher than Pier 39.

The chairs are metal and have no cushion. It is not comfortable for what you pay.

If the windows are clean, you can enjoy the view.

We showed up at about 12:30 on Friday February 27th. I had to track down the waitress. I asked if we could have a table outside, and the waitress gave me a cursory, unfriendly confirmation. We sat down, a couple of minutes later this same obviously unhappy older blond waitress came by, threw a couple of menus on a dirty table, and said something about the fryer not working and left. We felt a super bad vibe from the place and especially from the waitress. We got up and left, and will never be back.

Nestled in the heart of the Embarcadero, Blue Sky Bistro is a brunch oasis offering a delightful blend of scenic views, delectable cuisine, and warm hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for a treat.

The restaurant’s prime location provides stunning vistas of Morro Bay from both the dine-in patio and the cozy interior. What sets Blue Sky Bistro apart is its thoughtful design – plexiglass panels adorn the alfresco dining area, offering protection from the wind without compromising the panoramic views.

Opting for a traditional two-egg breakfast with sourdough toast, I was pleasantly surprised by the impeccable execution of the country potatoes – golden, buttery, and perfectly seasoned, with just the right balance of flavors. Meanwhile, my partner savored the Sailors Bay Benedict, featuring succulent crab that stole the show.

Blue Sky Bistro stands out as one of the few spots on the Embarcadero that opens early and offers a full breakfast menu, making it a coveted destination for early risers and brunch enthusiasts alike. The staff exuded warmth and professionalism, ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional.

To top it off, the coffee was exceptional, providing the perfect accompaniment to our morning feast. And for our furry friends, the dog-friendly patio was a welcome touch, allowing us to enjoy our meal in the company of our beloved pets.

Blue Sky Bistro offers a brunch experience that ticks all the boxes – breathtaking views, delicious food, friendly service, and pet-friendly ambiance. Whether you’re seeking a leisurely brunch or a quick bite before exploring the Embarcadero, this charming bistro is sure to delight.

The food was awesome. I had nachos and my wife had the lobster bisque with prawns. We were extremely happy with the quality of food. The servers were did an amazing job. Even without the view the food stands on its own. The amazing view makes it even more impressive. I only wish they had liquor.

We had dinner with another couple and while our choices were done very well, they were not happy with theirs. I had chips with guacamole and salsa for the table. The salsa was some of the best I have had recently and the guacamole was spicy and very good. I also had the Baja tacos, which could have used a little more fish but the fish was cooked very well. My husband had chicken tortilla soup which was excellent. Our friend had the lobster bisque with shrimp and said she would only give it a 6/10. Her husband had a burger and the country potatoes which he seemed to enjoy. They were unable to split the ticket which I have heard from others as well. My friend had ordered a glass of the house red and it was not good. They did replace it after they opened a new bottle and she said it was much better. The whole experience was okay but it seemed a little pricey. It may be something we try again though for breakfast or lunch.
