This place has many good reviews compared to other nearby spots, so I tried it out and ordered chicken fried rice. I’ve been sampling fried rice at various Chinese restaurants around the Bay Area lately. While I wouldn’t say this is the best I’ve had, it’s not bad. It falls on the better side of the spectrum; the rice was not greasy, which reflects the oil quality they use. The chicken was tender and tasted good, and the portion size was great. I might have added salt to the chili oil to enhance the flavor. The staff was friendly as well. I should come back and try more dishes!

Im sad to say. The lunch special was too salty. I got Almond Chicken ( small pieces of Veggie). It look carefully cooked ( look very neat) but the taste too salty (the Chicken). I ordered the 15.95 Lunch special w/ Almond Chicken, BBQ Pork Fried Rice, & Sweet & Sour Pork. The Pork Fried Rice was just bad Fried Rice…too much Soy Sauce, Very Dry like the Rice was almost Hard & no oil Flavour. Whoever made it seem like try to save money by either using old fried Rice or just No oil or just the worst Fried Rice with too much Soy Sauce ( must have been old pork too). I am not a professional chef but even I make better Fried at home ( i use soft or fresh rice, i put alot of oil…I saute Onion and I put fresh meat) Just taste Old. The Sweet & Sour Pork was Ok. It was not that good ( average) but the sauce was very good. So they use good sauce on Sweet & sour pork but the Pork itself taste average. Not sure why it is so hard to cook. The only good thing was the Hot & Sour Soup. It is just that Panda Express has very very good Orange Chicken everytime. I never had bad Orange Chicken at Panda Express so I was surprise why an expensive Chinese has Average Sweet Sour Pork ( they do use good Sauce but somehow, just Average Pork. I went home and my bf he bought Pork Ribs from Smart & Final ( Using Sweet Ray BBQ sauce). My bf smoked his pork Ribs and his Pork Rib taste much better than this restaurant. I give up on Chinese Restaurants in West San Jose. There are so many not good restaurants. I just dont recommend the lunch special. Maybe order the super expensive stuff or just go to Panda Express for guaranteed good food for only 13 dollars or less. My Dad got Shrimp and he liked his food so maybe his dish was better than mine.

Service was great ! I called ahead over the phone ! First time here. I think the food is good . The sweet and sour had a jelly type consistency that I’m not used to. I Still ate the rice and the other stuff . If I come back I’ll try something else . Ended up staying and eating the lady who helped me in was nice . They are open inside for dining .

I didn’t see a dinnertime combo option, just lunch. Sesame chicken really hit the spot though, was exactly what I was craving at the time. The meat looked a bit gray (not sure whether that even matters), but otherwise tasted great, and so did the eggrolls. Would go back.

Waaaaay too expensive now. Prices have increased far beyond inflation. Blue Sky has been out family favorite for 20 years but we can’t afford their increased prices. $15 for a small soup…. jeez.
