Blue Sakura Shabu All You Can Eat is a lively hot pot spot in Allston offering an AYCE experience with a wide selection of meats, seafood, vegetables, and sides. It’s a popular choice for group dinners, especially with friends or classmates looking for a filling meal.
The space is modern and energetic, with individual burners built into each table for a more personal hot pot experience. It can get busy during dinner hours and weekends, but the atmosphere adds to the fun, social feel of the meal. Service is generally attentive, with staff bringing out orders steadily and checking in to swap out broths or refill items when needed.
The menu offers a good variety of thinly sliced beef, pork, chicken, seafood, and classic hot pot additions like fish balls, tofu, mushrooms, and leafy greens. The meat quality is solid for AYCE, and portions come out quickly enough to keep the meal moving. Broth options range from lighter house broths to spicier selections, allowing you to customize the experience. While it may not be the most premium hot pot in the area, the value is strong for the price point and the unlimited format makes it easy to try a bit of everything.
Overall, Blue Sakura is a reliable AYCE hot pot destination in Allston, great for casual group outings, celebrations, or when you’re just really craving a big, comforting meal.

We really enjoy the food there, but on several occasions our order did not come out. We waited for over 10 minutes and eventually had to ask the server. This has happened a few times, where the food we ordered simply didn’t arrive.
We also noticed that the two staff members working that day—a woman and a man—seemed unhappy. The woman placed the food on our table in a way that felt a bit abrupt, and the man at the counter did not acknowledge us. We think you should improve the service and also make sure the food comes out as the customer requests

Reasonable prices with a great selection of soup broths and dipping sauces. The ingredients are high quality and delicious. I will definitely be back!

Unfortunately, our experience was so unpleasant. Apparently, it’s an “all you can eat” restaurant, but not literally, because the older Chinese man acts so badly when he sees your table full of food. Our orders never arrived complete, the sauce bar was so disorganized and dirty, and the older Chinese man treats the waitresses so rudely. It’s so uncomfortable having him constantly supervising your food. He also doesn’t speak English; when we asked him something, his attitude was exactly what we expected: terrible. He yells at his employees. It was truly a waste of time and money. The soup had way too much large peppercorns, the appetizers were okay, the meat tasted very old, and the vegetables weren’t clean or fresh. We visit this place often and have never had such a bad experience before. There’s a sign limiting your food portions, “all you can eat,” but they didn’t see it. We’re frequent customers; they know us, and we won’t be back. Terrible service in every way.

I normally take more photos but I was extremely hungry and forgot to, mb team. I highly recommend you get reservations by calling in there is not a lot of room in this establishment. The selection is amazing compared to a lot of other shabu shabu or hotspot places. You order on an iPad and the food starts appearing at your table. There is a 20% gratuity for groups which is very fair and nothing crazy. I recommend you get the premium and make sure to finish with ice cream before the timer ends ⏲️ ‼️.

I’m honestly surprised this restaurant has such good reviews. I’ve never left a bad review for a restaurant before, but the food quality here was really disappointing and did not taste fresh. For $37 per person, I expected it to be better. There are many other ayce hot pot places that the food tastes better and more fresh for the same price or less. Overall, I was really disappointed with the experience

I had a wonderful experience at Blue Sakura. The menu offerings were as advertised, I really enjoyed the flavorful broth alongside the premium beef and fresh vegetables. The wide variety of options were able to cover what I typically go for, while leaving some room to try new things as well. I really liked the creativity you bring to the dim sum plates, it was really unique. As someone who grew up having homemade hotpot nights once a week, this restaurant definitely reminded me of home.
The service was also spot on. All staff members were very attentive and quick with our food. Everyone was very friendly, and I felt right at home with how hospitable the staff were.
Overall, a very positive experience, and reasonably priced for how much food and variety is given. I will visit again soon.

Went to the store on NYE for lunch. The service was good and quick as an AYCE. There are a lot of options including the appetizers, dim sum, meat, seafood, veggies and tofu products. There are also quite some options for soup base. There is a 90 minutes limit, and you order on the tablet. Some of my observations:
1. The crab legs are quite good in quality, comparing to other AYCE restaurants.
2. The meat is thin sliced, but is still high quality meat, unlike some other AYCE restaurants.
3. The soup bases (we ordered the spicy one), is not spicy enough for us, although this is just my personal preferences.
4. The service is nice. They bring the food quickly after we order, and clean up the empty dishes in a timely manner.
5. The dim sum exceeds my expectation.
6. Each dish has a small portion, which is great. You are able to try multiple dishes without having to finish eating something that you like less.
7. The soft drinks are included and self-served.
Overall, I’m satisfied with my choice to go to this place and try their AYCE as our last dine-in in 2024. BTW, the parking in that area is mostly sufficient. Meter parking takes < $5 for 2 hours.

This was my first time at this restaurant, and I had such a great experience! The servers were super attentive, always making sure we had what we needed. The food was fantastic—everything tasted fresh, especially the veggies, and the buns and dim sum were the perfect addition that you don’t find at most all-you-can-eat places. The atmosphere was really nice too, which made it even more enjoyable. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a great shabu shabu spot!
