Reviews
The sashimi platter was beautifully presented, especially the seared fish with that light smokiness. Everything tasted fresh, though a couple of pieces could’ve been sliced a bit thinner for balance.
The service was attentive without being pushy, and the staff seemed genuinely proud of their craft. Prices are what you’d expect for quality sushi in Manhattan — not cheap, but fair for what you get.
Overall, it’s the kind of spot you bring someone when you want to slow down, have great food, and feel like you’ve stepped out of the city for a bit. Would definitely come back for another round of sashimi and sake!
The space is generous, making it ideal for large groups, and the full bar adds a fun touch to any outing. Sitting at the sushi bar is always a treat — watching the chefs work is both entertaining and impressive. The vibe strikes a perfect balance: you can come casual or dress up for a night out. The dim lighting, stylish décor, and attention to detail make it feel elevated without being intimidating. Service was friendly and attentive, rounding out an all-around fantastic experience.
I will be very raw and honest off the bat to start here because I was actually so disappointed in the quality of their cocktails. They have a BEAUTIFUL bar — I mean stunning like I would love to work there. And the drinks are super pricey which is fine — but that being said I was expecting to indulge in some excellent/top notch cocktails… but that wasn’t the case at all. This place is not skilled in mixology even to the slightest. I sent back the first drink I ordered (which I NEVER do but it was expensive and it was so bad I literally couldn’t even drink it). I then ordered a skinny margarita and it also was pretty disappointing. It tasted watery and unbalanced — I couldn’t tell if there was tequila in there either. It was like watery lime juice LOL. I also tasted my friend’s lychee cocktail which she did enjoy, but I thought it tasted like straight lychee syrup. The drink was unbalanced again and didn’t taste anything like a cocktail.
The reason I am giving this place a 3 overall is partly because of their cocktail quality, but also because of their portions sizes. I thought the overall atmosphere and service was pretty moderate (nothing stood out), and the food quality itself was excellent… but I left HUNGRY. I wanted to order more but honestly it was pricey — and I knew I was still gonna be hungry if I did LOL. If I am going to spend what I did I want bigger portions not 5 bites of food. Again the food quality was fabulous, might I even say a 10/10, but so insanely small.
Service was nothing special and the place is empty. I wish I walked out when I saw they have a C rating but my date was positive so I tried to give benefit of the doubt. Don’t be like me and let people pressure you into doing something that you feel uncomfortable doing then suffering the consequences. Good luck.
