The fries tasted like the grease hasnt been changed in a while and also came out soggy. The bun looked dirty. The tomato and onion were fresh and that is about it. The special was a hamburger steak with mixed veggies, some kind of potato add a biscuit. The hamburger steak was extremely dry and not much flavor. The honey in the packets seemed to be out dated. The decor was out dated and the outside needs some attention on the paint. I’m sure locals would never complain however I did let her know we were not liking it. We still paid full price for the meal and left. The waitress was kind and also attentive. Just don’t do it.

Service was super slow enough I had to consider if the waitress was the cook. The food was good. Chili tasted like a sweet Wendy’s chili. The decor is older and reminds me of Roseann the TV show. Food was good, but a heads up is that the place is Cash or LOCAL check only. Between the slow speed and the lack of accepting debit or credit, I had to go with 3 stars.

Family issues have my family spending time in Horton and Blue Ribbon Diner is fast becoming our go to for lunch. We have ordered a variety of menu items and everything has been great. Friendly people, good portions and great comfort food…what more could you want? Do be prepared to pay with cash.

Is a very good place to eat I haven’t been there in probably 6 months or so but I I go over there sometimes for lunch and I think I went over there for dinner one time and it was a good place to eat prices are reasonable and the food is homemade is pretty good stuff I had recommended prices are fair
