Me and my fiance have tried alot of different places in valparaiso and ended up deciding on blueprint for dinner last night. I can say hands down that was a great decision, our server Kourtney was very courteous and helpful and the food was amazing! I love the calm atmosphere of the restaurant as opposed to some of the more hustle bustle places in the area. I can also say as a self proclaimed cheesecake connoisseur, their homemade chefs cheesecake is the best I’ve ever had!! Will definitely be going back again

I thought this place was known for fish. I thought wrong!!!!! That’s for sure. There was a special, “sesame chicken”, it was un freaking believable…. I now love this place beyond words. I’m a big stacks fan . This meal I had tonight compared. Good on you Blue Point. Keep up the good work and the delicious food

We’ve been coming to Blue Point a lot. We really love the Lobster Bisque and the Seafood Linguine. Actually anything we’ve tried the past 3 years we’ve been eating here beside that has been delicious! When we have out-of-town guests or just want to hang out with some good friends we suggest Blue Point. The food is always delicious and our servers are always pleasant. Tonight we have the pleasure of having Lydia for our server. Great job Blue Point I would give 10 Stars if I could for everything.

Our waiter was Jeff! He was probably the best waiter I have ever had at a restaurant and also used to be my neighbor! Great guy and wonderful restaurant to eat and hang out at. I highly highly recommend this place if you’re in Valpo!

My husband and I had an excellent dinner at Blue Point Sunday evening. There was a good crowd, esp for a Sunday night We shared oysters, calamari, and a California roll. All were very fresh and delicious. My lake perch was so delicious – there must have been sixteen pieces! My husband loved his salmon as well. The service couldn’t have been better. We cant wait to go back and will definitely be trying the lobster bisque.

This place kicks ass, no other word for it. I’m really struggling to even think of a place in the region where you can get seafood as good as this. Super high end and always packed with flavor, you definitely get what you pay for and I’ve never once seen them skimp out on portions. I’ve been here several times and have been let down not once. The service is always killer too, don’t think I’ve ever had a server that’s been absent from the table for too long. The calamari might be the best I’ve ever had for the price to be honest. It’s shocking to me that I barely hear anyone in this town ever mention this place. Then again, most of Valpo are Cold War era relics who are on their way out anyway (thank God). This place rules, please support awesome local places like this that actual deserve your business! And for the love of God please avoid Radius next door. (that place is a genuine scam)

First time here for dinner… the Fisherman’s bucket was great… very tasty breading on the shrimp. Our waitress couldn’t be more attentive and pleasant and the Christmas tree in the middle of the room was beautiful! Definitely going back.

Blue Point Oysters and Sushi Bar in downtown Valparaiso.
It had been under consideration for my wife and I for our Friday night Date nights before more than once but for some reason or another we always managed to talk ourselves out of it, but not tonight. I suggested it, she said “fine” !
We aren’t big on oysters but sushi… we agreed on the HAPPY ROLL – Shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, mango, avocado, cucumber, and mango chili sauce for a shared appetizer. It was very good.
They were running some fine sounding specials so we both made our choices from that list of offerings. She had the Blacked American Red Snapper with a mango salsa and then bacon brussel sprouts and a baked potato for her side.
My choice was a fish called Skate or sometimes Skate Wing. A flat fish whose meat is somewhat stringy instead of flaky, sort of like an ultra fine chicken breast meat, but not mushy in any way. It was very well seasoned with capers, herbs and a white wine reduction. I also had the bacon brussel sprouts but had the sweet potatoes instead.
They also have an extensive dessert menu . The ones that appealed to my wife the most were the Pineapple Upside-down Cake and a Bananas Foster Crepe with Vanilla Ice Cream, she chose the later. Me? They were offering a limited special of a Lemon & Blueberry Bread Pudding. Not quite as good as I was hoping, weak on both the lemon and blueberries, but I forced myself….
Overall experience was very good, the atmosphere was wonderful and more to our liking. More than likely will visit again and could recommend them.

My partner and I dined in on 08/14, and Matt was our server. He was a phenomenal waiter and made sure that we were taken care of, while also allowing us to enjoy our meal. He was very knowledgeable about the food, which helped me and my partner pick our dishes. My partner had the crab rangoon roll, but he didn’t like it and sent it back. Matt suggested the sweet chili shrimp roll and he loved it! The food was delicious and the seafood was very fresh. The crème brûlée, as simple as it was, was AMAZING!!! The fresh strawberries really brought the whole dessert together. I will definitely be back again!

I felt compelled to bring to your attention my recent dining experience at your establishment, particularly regarding the perch dinner that I had the displeasure of ordering.
PERCH DINNER-to put it plainly, I was thoroughly disappointed with the dish. The size of the perch served was alarmingly small, far below any reasonable expectation. In addition, the lack of flavor and overall blandness of the dish was truly regrettable.
What truly compounded my dissatisfaction was the exorbitant price of $32.00 that was charged for this subpar meal. I must emphasize that I found this price point to be utterly outrageous and unjustifiable for the quality of the food provided.
While I cannot speak to the quality of your other menu items, I felt it was important to convey my experience with the perch dinner, as I believe that transparency and feedback are essential for any business striving for excellence.
I trust that you will take this feedback into consideration and perhaps reevaluate both the quality and pricing of the dishes offered at your establishment. As a customer who values exceptional dining experiences, I sincerely hope to see improvements in the future.
