Amazing spot! Food was delicious. Our server was absolutely wonderful and attentive. The jalapeño cornbread with the three pepper jelly/relish is a MUST!! Put the butter then the relish and its amazing. Highly recommend!

Classic old-school diner vibes with incredible food, huge portions, and prices that are more than fair. Everything came out hot, fresh, and fast. Do yourself a favor and try the jalapeño cornbread with the pepper jam. It’s to die for.

The fried chicken was well seasoned and delicious, the mashed potatoes were very good, and the gravy was good. The jalapeno cheddar cornbread was flavorful and baked perfectly, but I would have preferred it served on the side. The Canadian bacon was seared off properly in the eggs Benedict. The desserts were decent, though quite sweet.
Overall, a classic diner feel and atmosphere, but with much much higher quality food than one would expect given the price and decor.

We were seated and within 1 minute was greeted by our server Andrew. He was professional, kind, friendly, attentive and made us feel like we made an excellent choice by leaving Newport Creamery to eat here. I ordered the southwest burger and fries, while my man got a bowl of chicken and rice soup, (big pieces of chicken and vegetables throughout) and the fried chicken sandwich.

Eggs Benny were perfect. Fancy hotel quality.
Pancakes were also perfect. Somehow both fluffy and a little chewy. Delicious.
Bloody Mary was a bargain at $7.
Service friendly, attentive, and fast, but not rushed.
Decor is 50’s diner(ish).
Only two minor complaints.
Lighting could be better. It felt dark. But to be fair, I was hungover, so it could have been me.
The side of bacon pricing wasn’t listed and I thought it was comparatively expensive at $5+.
Not only will I be back, it’s my new goto “grassy spoon” breakfast in Newport.
Based on this experience, I’ll also go back for the “after 11” menu.

Not friendly to truckers. I’ve ordered here before with my same truck without any issues on busy days before. Well, today being a holiday plus snow — me and my labors wanted to order take out. As we go to walk in we were greeted by a gentlemen informing me to move the truck across the busy street in these conditions bc ” it’s a holiday and he has limited parking spots. Mind you I parked far away from the door and on some piles of snow. There were atleast 7 open spots close to the front and maybe a few patrons inside. It’s not easy as truckers to park as it is but lack of safety I won’t be back. Thanks but no thanks. ✌️

The name attracted us to this place. We stopped for lunch, and were very pleased. I had the BLT and sweet potato fries, and my husband had the chicken Caesar Salad. The waitress originally brought me regular fries, but quickly took them back when I reminded her that I had ordered sweet potato fries. The sandwich was tasty and the salad was large. The atmosphere was a throw-back to the 50’s. Really liked the commandments painted on the exposed beams!! Would gladly return!
