Our waiter was attentive, and the rest of the staff also made sure we were well taken care of. The food arrived fairly quickly, and while the quality was good, nothing really stood out as exceptional in terms of flavor. Portion sizes were generally ok.
Prices, however, felt higher than expected for both the setting and the dishes we ordered. The crab Benedict, for example, had a very small crab cake—essentially one patty split between two eggs. The tuna was cooked properly and had good flavor, and the teriyaki salmon was also quite good.
We ordered a few drinks, which were just okay. Like many places, they add a surcharge for non-cash payments, but they also suggest tips based on the total after tax and fees, which feels a bit out of place for a restaurant aiming for an upscale experience.
Overall, the food was good and service attentive, but the value didn’t quite match the high prices.
The service we received was outstanding, beyond professional and welcoming, and cozy at the same time.
I, personally was happy to discover the availability of Kumamoto oysters. Which I always struggle to find even in the City.
All over, we had amazing experiences and truly tasty and fresh dining.
Every dish has a harmony of notes and smells.
Everything was freshly cooked and tasted great.
The price is fully understandable and reasonable.
So, if you have a special celebration or are just up for a delicious food experience – that’s the place!
The interior is absolutely stunning and created such a special setting for our evening. The food was amazing — every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The desserts were incredible, and the drinks were just as impressive. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and high quality.
It was the perfect place to celebrate Valentine’s Day, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable night out!
Very nice decors and grand bathroom, service was nice and attentive for such a huge dining room. Liquor was ok, we had a lot of menus to look at, and it was all very nicely printed. Brunch item brioche was off tasting and the waiter was kind to take it off our bill. We also had skirt steak and the marination made it taste like char siu very interesting but they didnt cook the temperature right we did ask for medium, it came medium well for sure.
I liked the blue potato it was charred and fun color.
Lobster roll was nice and buttery, i like bisque so i enjoyed it extra. Truffle lobster roll was nicely enjoyed by my group as well.
Good mini croissant and chili-chocolate was a good try. Berry jam was delicious.
Although the food tasted good at the moment, the service is poor, and I would not return to this restaurant, or recommend it at all. To top it off, it was extremely cold during the 3 hour visit at this restaurant, and I ended up with food poisoning from the food here. For the amount of money we paid ($400 +) for two people, the service should be immaculate, and let me just say, it fell very short.
The food presentation was impeccable. The lobster rolls, penne vodka, and lamb chops my guests are still raving about. The drinks were on point and one of the best old fashioned I’ve had amongst dining in upscale restaurants throughout nyc. I can’t begin to thank the servers, maitre d, and bartender matt enough for being attentive and flawless with their service.
Thank you for making such an important milestone a memorable one. I will be dining in the future and recommending family/friends to dine here .
