First of all, LOVED the pride support! Came in for lunch with my partner. Atmosphere, staff, and food were amazing! Will be coming back. They had a cup full of pride flags by the door and I was happy I was allowed to take one home when I left. I’ll be hanging it up in my office!

Awesome Thai in downtown New Haven!! Super authentic and reasonably priced. Truly a gem of a spot. The food was delicious and perfect night out with friends. They also have trivia on Thursday nights which was super fun and it’s a queer friendly space they really make an effort to make it known that this is a safe space. They even have free condoms!

I went for drinks with some friends. I got a Red Sangria which was delicious (2x = $14)! It was affordable and strong! I’ll try the food another time and they have trivia night and Karaoke!

My favorite spot in New Haven. Amazing people. Amazing vibe. Amazing food. They’ve cultivated one of the safest spaces I’ve been in as LGBTQ+ and their karaoke scene is one of the best I’ve been a part of. Keep being Amazing!

I totally love this place, the food is amazing, the owners and their family are so caring and loving people. They have the best chicken I ever tried, the appetizers are the best; I totally recommend the Hot oil veggie dumpling, it will blow your mind and the boneless chicken wings are superb. Everything we tried is amazing and tasted delicious. Definitely one of my favorite places.

Got two bowls of noodle soup, and both were delicious; meat was tender and the broth were seasoned perfectly! Server seemed to be new and inexperienced, but got us everything we needed. Simple and minimal decor but clean. Small menu but worth going back.

Unusually slow and unfriendly service tonight. I’ve been here several times but tonight it was just awful. Blank stares, very long wait just to order and longer wait to get drinks, and just a hostile vibe in general. I’m very surprised, it has never been like this before and I always felt safe and welcome here in the past. We were one of only two tables in an otherwise empty restaurant.

I used to go to this place years ago when i lived around the block all the time. I would always get the yellow curry and shrimp ramen. The owners are so kind and one time brought me a plate of a bunch of new things to try (since i always got the same thing lol) I’ve since moved out of Connecticut and still think about this place! Absolutely amazing!

I mostly go to Blue Orchid on Saturdays because the karaoke vibe is absolutely impeccable. Plus, the drink specials start at 10pm!! A place like this doesn’t even have to have good food, and yet their crab rangoons are the best I’ve had in the area. Highly recommend!!
