We had excellent service, delicious food and full tummies after. I would highly recommend coming especially if you are from out of town. My husband had the breakfast burger and I had the best chicken fried steak ever. The chicken fried steak would have been plenty to share a plate. For drinks we had the spicy margarita and the blushing cowboy.

Menu JUST changed and not for the better. All the items shown in the reviews that made you go “ooh that sounds good,” are now gone and all the prices have gone up. Waited for 20 minutes for the waiter to take order and another 50 mins to get the worst green chicken enchilladas i have ever eaten. The chicken was ground into a paste with peppers (stems and all) and squirted into (I believe) a flour tortillia. I am not sure because i never saw the tortillia…the food looked like brocolli casserole. Waiter completly missed my wifes order had to wait even longer! The pinto beans were so salty they were inedible and litterally had a crust of age on top. All in all the worst dining experience i have had in years! STAY AWAY FROM THIS JOINT!!!

A cylinart oasis of chef prepared meals in the west Texas desert of fine dining…and it’s reasonably priced too! Tempura prawns with a Ceasar salad was a perfect order.

Great food! The portions are pretty big so don’t get discouraged if you think the prices are a bit high. The food is also really great. The Texan fries were amazing and the queso on it is wonderful. The burgers are also quite good with good quality meat.

We stopped here before going to a Star Party at McDonald Observatory. The waiter was new so I felt bad for him but the restaurant seemed to be doing very little to support or train him. We were there for close to 2 hours. The service was so bad. The food did not make up for the bad service. We ordered poppers and they looked like they came straight out of a frozen box. My husband had a burger which was good enough. My son and I had the chicken fried chicken which was average. We both had a very small side of mashed potatoes. The jalapeño gravy was good and the chicken had a good crunch. The Brussel sprouts were overcooked and over salted. The atmosphere was noisy and bland. I would not recommend going again.

Went for dinner. The restaurant was completely empty. We had a server and our server had an server’s assistant. Still some of the worst service we’ve ever had. Constantly left needing something, at one point got up to get extra plates myself and the staff was just kicking it in the kitchen. A minimal amount of effort would have made a huge difference. Food left a lot to be desired, chicken fried steak was all breading and no steak.

Great place to unwind after a long day. The food is great & the drinks are even better. The staff was extremely attentive & welcoming. The bartender was incredible, not only was he extremely knowledgeable, he was also very friendly. Definitely a place to visit more than once.

We had a great dinner at Blue Mountain Bar & Grill. We were staying at Hotel Limpia which is associated with the restaurant so it was in the same property, just walk across the patio. Servers were all very polite and well versed in the menu. Devro took very good care of us.

Currently going on 35 minutes for a medium rare steak. We told the waiter at 740p that we needed to leave in 45 minutes to be at the observatory tonight (9p for star party). A med rare steak and pasta doesn’t take this long. Outside ambiance is beautiful. I’ve never had a steak take this long anywhere. And nobody else has shown up since us and it isn’t busy. Our food was fantastic, despite wife receiving chicken on her pasta when it wasn’t asked for (we werent charged for that upcharge) along with our drinks. We left at 830p after shoveling it all down. Waiter still got 17% (mostly because he was nice) but tremendously disappointed at the wait AFTER telling him we had to be gone by 830p. He also asked after taking the food order essentially “should I put this is now to get out in time?” So he took it literally, it seems, without caring that we had to cram it down. Difficult to recommend but I’ll halfway do it.

This is the only place worth eating at in fort Davis and I recommend it. It’s straddles the line between a nice restaurant but one you are totally comfortable to go to in jeans. We started with the calamari. The sauce it came with was very good and a little spicy. My wife and I split a ceasar with grilled shrimp and it had great flavor. I then got the Ribeye and my wife the Sacchetti pasta. Both dishes were excellent, however my wife’s pasta was just a bit warmer than room temperature. I was also disappointed they didn’t have horse radish for my steak. The service was awesome
