Gage S was our server. He had heard recommendations & attentive. We never ran empty on drinks & the food was wonderful. We dined at about 3pm on a Saturday.

The spinach queso might need the better I’ve ever had. The stuffed mushrooms were great! The walleye fingers were ok, seemed to either need the oil change or perhaps a little overcooked as they had a burnt taste to them but we’re ok. Not sure if it’s get then again or just try them 1 more time & see if it was the fryer oil or what. Hubby got the ahi tuna tapas & he loved that & his blackberry citrus serenade.

One thing I pointed out to my husband was all the staff looked happy as they were all kind and smiling. We would definitely dine here again if in the area!

The waiter was very good and got our food out fast which was nice because we had been driving for hours. I loved the 1919 Bulldog but all the drinks looked really good. I ordered the macaroni and cheese it was super cheesy and had a nice cheese pull. Loved it!!

Had a great first experience at the Blue Moose Bar & Grill. Plenty of parking outside. The restaurant was very clean and provided a nice “up north” feel. I was surprised to see it had 2nd floor dining as well. The service was friendly and quick. Food was hot and delicious. Highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in the area!

I love the Blue Moose. Great food, great selection of beers and very consistent very good quality comfort food.

The ambiance there is fantastic. It’s my favorite deck/patio in town looking west over the river. Inside can get noisy but has a comfortable woodsy feeling.

The food never disappoints. Always really good flavors. My wife loves the Mac and cheese, the French onion soup is great, and I dont have a go to, because I just want to try everything its so good!!

If you’re in Grand Forks for a few days, this is a great place to hang out and truly enjoy a meal.

Our waitress was super duper sweet and checked on us multiple times so kudos to her! She’s amazing! We tipped good despite the overall quality of food solely because of her. My husband had the walleye, baked potato and ceaser salad – it was delicious! But I had a burger and seasoned fries and I was Not impressed. My burger was burnt but not fully cooked through and my seasoned fries were terrible. I was coughing from all the seasoning on them. I had to take a drink every 2 fries.

Fresh Walleye Entree and a lovely Raspberry vinegrette entree salad with candied (not to sweet), Gorgonazla cheese crumbles, crasins and grilled chicken. Priscilla our server was fast and attentive. Food delivered to our table, not a long wait and was hot

Great service and very helpful waiter, great atmosphere. I am gluten-free, and they do NOT have gluten-free bread or buns, which is a bummer. They do still have options, however, and a gluten-free menu with a few appealing items. I got aged sirloin with a baked potato, and a side salad. The steak was pretty tiny for $30. The stuffed mushrooms were good and my wife enjoyed her salad. I think if we’re in the area I wouldn’t mind stopping by again but it wasn’t my favorite experience.

1/23/26, I have previously had very pleasant experiences at blue moose, the wait staff has been great in previous experiences and was no different this time. I like the aesthetic and the atmosphere. I came in today as a solo diner looking to get a nice steak after a really rough day at work. My waiter was great, fast and responsive, but when i was initially served my “medium rare” steak was genuinely cold on the inside. Its been a hot second since I’ve worked in a restaurant but I’d wager a bet it was a pre-seared steak, thrown in the oven or under a salamander to warm up. I tried to be as kind as I could asking for it to be heated a bit more, but evidently that didn’t work as the steak i got back was barely warmer, and still entirely chewy and under cooked on the inside. I’m disappointed, but hopeful that tonight was just an off night.

Excellent dinner experience here with the family while on an impromptu road trip. Hubby enjoyed his fusion Ruben with sweet potato waffle fries. I had a Caesar salad with sirloin steak and fries. Overall, very solid, though I wish the steak had more salt and pepper. We also had the pistachio cheesecake which was too sweet for me but my husband and son loved it. Great family-oriented restaurant!
