The food was delicious. I had the lobster bisque and king crab legs with butter pecan pie for dessert – all to die for. My husband had french onion soup, surf and turf, and the cheesecake and loved it all as well.
Very attentive, formal service that you don’t find in many places these days – I never had to ask for a thing as someone was always right there anticipating my needs.
The price point is on the higher end (especially if you order king crab) but I felt it was worth the quality of food and service.
Will dine again!

Decent steak house. Nice atmosphere. Nothing out of the ordinary or impressive and the food was kind of bland.
Table side ceaser salad was decent but nothing to brag about. The check is not itemized and just says food and liquor. Technically you dont really know what your paying for. And if you ask for a breakdown of your bill, they will get upset and tell you there register is from the 80s.
Good spot to check out once but I wouldn’t go again.

Had an amazing dinner!
Shout out to the amazing experienced staff. They were all dressed in suits and were long time employees. One gentleman said he had been there for 49 years and made us a Caesar salad right at our table including fresh made salad dressing.
Sam was our main waiter and was great with a great personality. They were all very attentive and made sure we were well looked after.

Wow! Best meal, service and atmosphere I have ever experienced in the Niagara Region. They treat you like royalty no matter who you are. Great, local white table cloth steakhouse in St. Catharines. Personally preferred the laid-back lounge, but apparently that’s been closed. Nevertheless, they’ve brought the piano upstairs to create a cozier atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our appetizers and mains; however would have preferred the gravy on the side. Otherwise, another delightful evening at Blue Mermaid.
