Blue Martini was my most favorite place to eat when visiting Fort Lauderdale until Saturday September 27th. Tried to make it to happy hour before it ended, was 1 minute late. There was a party of six of us. Two couples had spent over $60 for two drinks at the beginning of placing our order. We asked for water for all of us and the waitress brought out 1 $5 bottle of Fiji water. She said they don’t serve water after 7pm. Now mind you, this party of six always comes and spends over $400 each time and can’t get any water! Wow, a good waitress would have said, forget all dat, I’m gone keep them buying drinks and provide them water. Well long story short, manager was called we expressed our concern. She expressed policy. She then waived I think gratuity and provided us with water. Waitress was not tipped. Missed her tips, and we tip GOODT!!!! Moral of the story, you may want to dine elsewhere after 7pm if you like water.

Stay away from this place! We were not greeted at the door and had to seat ourselves! That should have been the sign to leave immediately! Who charges for ice and a chaser??? On top of the charge for the actual 2 oz whiskey, an additional charge of $4 for ice and an additional $2 for pineapple juice to go with my whiskey and pineapple. There’s no happy hour. There was no live entertainment as advertised. We ordered spinach and artichoke dip and received tortilla chips instead of pita chips. No explanation, no anything. This place is depressing. The DJ was the only person giving this place a pulse! It’s too many other places to frequent; save yourself time and aggravation. Stay away!

I really liked this place; the only thing I didn’t like was that the music volume was too loud. The drinks were strong and good.

When I visit Florida from Montreal every now and then, and coincidentally the Haitian live band T-Vice has their monthly performance, I always feel so privileged because it becomes the highlight of my trip to this sunny destination. The band did not disappoint last Thursday. The staff is nice and the crowd that comes out to see T-Vice is vibrant.
Thank you, Blue Martini, for hosting this monthly event that I will often take a flight for whenever I can.

Party of 4 walked in at 7:00pm, we asked if we can sit inside and the worker said yes but officially only outside open till 8:00 but your fine inside just let waitress outside know when your ready to order. As we were sitting there the waitress came in and said you can’t sit here, we explained what the guy said and the waitress said well if you want service sit outside or your going to be waiting along time because I’m not taking your orders. We got up and went next door, to The Capital Grill, that place was friendly and the food was amazing!!

Atmosphere 10/10 – large and beautifully decorated
Live band 10/10 – Amazing, every song the singer performed was wonderful, is return every Sunday just for him.
Service 2/10 – waitress started assisting us then just neglected us, she never returned with our drinks, we just went to the bar. We had to help ourselves but still left a generous tip.
Food 3/10 – poor quality food. I had lamb, wings, calamari, fries and the only thing I would order again is the fries.
I took about 15 minutes to write an in-depth review, but Google took me off the page and everything was erased and I refuse to do it again.

I had a great experience at Blue Martini Fort Lauderdale! I went on a Sunday night and they had a reggae DJ playing , the vibe was awesome, calm, and relaxing. Perfect spot for a date night. The food was excellent, and that crab dip was dangerous… in the best way! Everything was fresh and available, and the reggae music just set the mood right. I’ll definitely be back!

My girlfriend and I are a middle aged white couple. We wanted to have a couple drinks before going to dinner elsewhere. We were well-dressed and polite. Upon arriving, were told by the black gentleman working security at the front door that we were not welcome to sit on the inside despite there being plenty of room available and were then directed to an outside table. There were not many people sitting outside. Despite this fact, our server did not ever return after dropping off menus and telling us that it was not available for happy hour, although we were there during the advertised happy hour time. Finally, we got the attention of another security guard and told him that we needed a server because one had not come over yet. A few minutes later, a server came over, took our order and after another extended period of time brought us our drinks (a martini and a Mojito) each of which that tasted as if they hardly had any alcohol in them. After dropping off our watered down drinks, our server did not return until I finally flagged her down. We were literally the only white people in the bar and appear to have been unwelcome there based on our direction to only sit outside and being ignored for virtually our entire visit. As others have noted, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to the bill, which would not have been a problem, except for the fact that we were treated poorly, ignored, and felt extremely unwelcome the whole time. We have been to other Blue Martini locations where we were treated with courtesy and good service. This was the opposite. Based on our experience, this Blue Martini location does not welcome middle-aged white people and actively discourages their presence.

We went to the Blue Martini Bar this evening to celebrate our 39th Wedding Anniversary. We were welcomed by Jay in the outside patio. Jay was very friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. She took great care of us along with the other patrons. Jay, thank you, you made our night.
