I agree with a lot of these comments. HP and HW seems to be oversaturated with Mexican restaurants, pizza places and coffee shops.

Here’s what you need to know: delicious food. Loved everything we ordered. It is quite pricey given the ambiance and quantity, so I understand how some diners may be taken back by that. But we really enjoyed the food that the chef and owner put together for us so for us it was worth it. Service was friendly. We will be back to enjoy and support this lovely small business

We were passing through from MO and stopped there on our way to WI after the first 3.5 hours with about 2 left to our destination. We got there at 11:30, and were seated immediately. Server was friendly and food was really good
We were greeted with chips and salsa and ordered some margaritas. My husband had the strawberry and I had the flight! We had the Elote corn appetizer and we both loved it. I ordered the shrimp taco trio and my husband got the steak burrito. Portions are not your typical Mexican size but food was great quality and we left satisfied.

If I could give this wonderful restaurant 6 stars, I would. We recently went there for the first time, on a snowy Friday evening. Unfortunately, there were almost no patrons there besides us, likely due to the weather and folks traveling for school spring break.
The food was delicious and portions were generous. The wait staff were responsive and courteous. The owner stopped by several times to be certain we were satisfied. I can’t recommend this place more highly.
One very minor and correctable criticism: the shrimp in the quesadilla had their tails left on. I personally don’t eat shrimp tails. It was necessary to remove them before enjoying the dish.
Despite the existence of several other good Mexican cuisine locations in Highland Park, we will doubtless return here often to enjoy fine dining.
I would encourage anyone reading this to go to Blue Margarita’s frequently to ensure they remain in Highland Park.

One of the best skinny margaritas I have ever had! Delicious pork enchiladas. Very friendly and caring staff.
The decor is nice but I would like to see them in a different storefront. There is something about this particular space, it’s sunken down from the street so it’s a little dark and feels remote… The current owners are working hard to make it feel welcoming.

Outstanding. Starting as soon as we sat down, this place was on point. Warm, fresh chips with homemade salsa and guac was delicious. As for entrees, which were fairly priced ($2.99/taco) and heartily portioned, I liked the chicken tacos which were seasoned very well. The ground beef taco was tasty too, although a tad too salty for my liking. Atmosphere was fun and well-decorated. You can tell Mariah and Jose, owners of the restaurant, have put their heart and soul into this place and they could not have been more attentive and friendly throughout our meal. If looking for Mexican cuisine in Highland Park, I highly recommend you dine here.

Stopped by for lunch after seeing they just opened.
I ordered a shrimp taco and the steak fajitas. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the fajitas were very tasty as well. Nice sized portions.
When I finished, I added on an order of carne asada to bring home to my wife since I enjoyed my meal so much and wanted her try too.
Very friendly service from owner throughout the meal. I’m looking forward to going back

Great New Mexican restaurant in HP. Finally a delicious “Al dente” Mexican rice! The tamales were homemade and so good! Amazing el pastor tacos! Great service and even better desserts (flan and churros)
