I only discovered this fabulous takeaway van recently, set in the most beautiful scenery on the road to Harris about 15 minutes south of Stornoway. Seamus is a skilled chef and the food is excellent. The menu has so many interesting choices. Amongst other things my travelling companion had fish chowder and said it was the best she has ever had and she’s very picky about what she eats. I had lobster with an amazing mix of anchovy potato salad, carrot and orange salad, puy lentil salad, and their house green salad, topped with red onion compote. It’s accompanied with homemade Blue Man roasted garlic mayonnaise!!
It was a huge portion and I had to save the other half for my lunch the next day! Absolutely delicious food, my friend and I sat in the car savouring each mouthful.
All I can say is get there as soon as you can, you will thank yourself. It is also situated in the most beautiful place to enjoy the views while you wait.
Thank you Seamus, I will be back!

Absolutely gorgeous food, generous portions, beautifully cooked and super fresh. We had the seafood chowder to share, which was so tasty and then had the monkfish and the tempura haddock with chips and side salad. Everything was excellent, would highly recommend.

Amazing place. Seafood as fresh as you like and really well cooked. Would recommend the monkfish in particular if it’s available. Great sides too – not your average floppy side salads!

These guys are a new business and well worth a visit. Running into the Blue Man midway through the Hebridean way felt like finding an oasis in a desert (no offence to the surrounding countryside, it’s beautiful!). Really nice guys and the best crab cakes I’ve ever had. They even offered me a free tea to warm me up in the rain!

Recently got 2 meals for £47. The monkfish and Haddock were beautifully cooked, but the chips were poor. It was enough to feed 3 of us so not bad really. Would benefit from better chips. Lovely setting and speedy service.

Restaurant quality food from a takeaway. OK the prices are more expensive than a regular takeaway, but the quality of the seafood & the care that is taken in preparation are more than worth it. Don’t criticise the prices until you have tasted the food.

The most delicious meal we ate in the hebrides – coconut crab cakes – and almost everything he makes is gluten free!

Almost great food. Slightly short on fish in the Chowder. Otherwise a great range to choose from.
