This is my first time going to this location. My wife is a big fan of this place. Great way to start the first sushi of the new year. Food and atmosphere was great. I will plan to have get-togethers here.

I had been wanting to eat here for a long time because I absolutely love sushi. I come from Vancouver Canada and it’s home to some of the best Asian food in the world so a lot of places in Washington don’t compare but this restaurant is definitely on my list of top sushi places. I’ve had conveyor sushi at other locations around town but usually the quality, flavours and/or freshness is an issue but not here.
The service is excellent, the atmosphere is pretty mellow and the prices are fantastic.
I really enjoyed their crab salad filling it had a very nice sweet, clean, fresh flavour and the Unagi was torched perfectly and has that fantastic charred flavour that I love. The spring rolls and tempura were fried perfectly, everything was fresh and they restock the conveyor frequently but you can also order from the menu. The prices here are also totally reasonable and was about $30/person including tip and believe me we stuffed out faces.

Went in a late lunch on Sunday. Not too busy when we walked in.The seating area was clean. Typical conveyor belt items. You can order fresh as well. I did see a few items circle for a long duration, I skipped those. There were some items without a cover, I skipped those too. I did see staff refresh the items within acceptable intervals. The prices are good. The food tastes good. I asked for ginger and got a good serving. The food is presented well. The staff is welcoming. I ate, I was happy, my tummy was happy after 2+hrs of leaving. I will be going back.

Wasn’t very busy when I came in around 5pm on a Thursday.
Food was very well presented. The cost is similarly priced to many other establishments.
No complaints on the taste of food or presentation.
It appeared they had tons of mobile / pickup orders vs in person service.

Be wary of takeout, $27 for 6 pieces of sad musubi and 8 pieces of crunch roll. It would have been cheaper to eat in. Not worth the price.

Went to explore and have sushi. Got there just before dinner rush, took us way to long to be seated for being the only ppl there. Sat down and started eating the revolving sushi. Took 3 minutes for someone to come by to ask for our drinks (water) and another 3 just to get them. The Miso smelled and tasted like dirty dishwater. The egg rolls tasted like they where coocked in a dishwasher. The only food they got that was good (not like there was many rolls on the belt anyways) was the Takoyaki, which isn’t hard to mess up anyways. Overall definitely not going back.

Amazing Sushi!! Love the atmosphere!! Best service ever from Olivia!!! We come to Blue Island to celebrate or whenever we are craving some fresh & delicious sushi. Blue Island never disappoints and seems to only get better and better. Super kid friendly as well and they love the cozy and warm atmosphere The conveyor belt dishes are always fresh and appetizing too. WE ♥️ BLUE ISLAND SUSHI!!

Cost efficient to buy from the conveyer belt than ordering a roll. Let’s stay playboy roll for 8 PCs cost $15, while conveyer belt 3 PCs for $4.99. Were one of the first people to order but chef prioritize filling the belt before they even make our order. Not the best service IMO. The interior set up with high ceiling def makes the atmosphere looks sophisticated, but the food is not anything extraordinary. Sushi is good, I don’t recommend ordering those spicy chicken bowls or anything similar, they are not good. We enjoyed everything else like the mussels, gyoza, sushi, and more dish that are okay.
