I wasn’t expecting to go to the Heron but Tremont was closed and this was the nearest spot to land to meet with a friend. All I got was a canned drink. But the staff was very friendly and helpful, the portions looked big, there was plenty of seating. It was just an old school, simple place to get a drink or sandwich or ice cream. Perfect placement on the trail. I plan to come back for lunch sometime.

I ordered lunch last week for my staff. I placed the order the day before with Michelle. She was helpful and nice to speak with.
The next day they delivered our order. Everything was organized, correctly made and yummy! My staff loved it! Plus, it was very reasonably priced even with delivery. Thank you! We will order again.

Honestly, if you are looking for a good sandwich there really isn’t a reason to go to any of the nearby chain shops, just come to Blue Heron. At least in comparison to Jersey Mikes, their sandwiches seem to be cheaper in price (even including chips and a pickle, which Jersey Mikes will charge you for the chips), and in my opinion taste way better with the tuna melt probably being my favorite.
Regardless of price though, I haven’t had a bad sandwich here and I will always be the first person to advocate for supporting small local shops whenever I can.

The tuna melt was perfect. Delicious, fresh the roll was awesome too! Perfect spot to stop while in a bike. Ernie bike shop next door over.

Stopped by while passing through on a busy Saturday. The one was long but the few workers handled the rush in great spirits and fulfilled orders in a timely manner. We just got subs, but they offered ice cream as well. Indoor and outdoor deck seating available. Subs come with pickle and chips.

I walked in about 9:15 am on a Monday, a woman was busily making a sandwich but immediately looked up and greeted me. 5 stars right there, but the food and service were also exemplary. Beware, the breakfast sandwiches are much bigger than I expected and the hashbrown was a pleasant surprise. Really cool vintage bicycle decor as well.

I just demolished a AMAZING turkey sandwich and chicken noodle soup. I get food here on a semi regular basis as the price is great, good selection, and they deliver to my shop. I honestly can’t believe I haven’t 5 starred them already but lunch today was just amazing and the Owner and Staff definitely deserve the praise. I have always been satisfied with my orders from here and will continue to eat and recommend them to anyone who wants great food and service!
