Blue Cotton Bake Shop
is an artisanal bakery and an eclectic art and music gallery. Experience a culturally rich eatery that explores the roots of American Music. Our business includes morning commuters stopping in for breakfast, area employees and neighbors enjoying lunch, friends meeting for coffee and conversation, office workers seeking to satisfy their 2pm sugar craving, people picking up a fresh salad, or dessert for their evening meal.
The idea to combine the roots of American music with the culture of cotton was inspired by our passion for the preservation of our country’s iconic culture and history.
Historic Downtown Clarksdale is the perfect canvas to share our gifts.
We can’t wait to see you!

If you’re ever in Clarksdale, you must stop by Blue Cotton Restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing—so fresh, flavorful, and truly delicious. My husband and I loved it so much that we went back for breakfast two days in a row!
The grits, eggs, and biscuits tasted just like the ones my grandmother used to make back in the day—comforting, homemade, and full of Southern heart. The woman who served us (I believe her name was Nicole) was warm, patient, and incredibly thorough. Her kindness made our meals even more enjoyable.
Blue Cotton is conveniently located right next to the Travelers Hotel, and I already can’t wait for my next visit. The pancakes and hamburger are at the top of my list to try next time! Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great food and genuine hospitality.

There is a bright spot in this dilapidated city and its leaderlessship and Blue Cotton is that bright spot!!!
Our food was great and fresh and the smile on the person’s face who fixed it was genuine! (I assume she is the owner but I didn’t get her name).
You should call in advance because it takes a bit to get the order ready. I ate the “Dennis the Menace” sandwich on Marble bread and it was so fresh and great!!

They make breakfast to order and it hit all the spots. Also bought some peanut brittle, chocolate pecan cookies, and ginger molasses cookies while we waited. Good food, great people, and Southern Hospitality!! It’s worth a visit.

We were in town for the first time today shooting a PBS episode about the unbelievable Blues scene Clarksdale. Our camera crew, my husband and I were absolutely blown away by the delicious homemade food from this ‘Bake Shop’. Not only was the food fabulous, but the owner was very kind and her son even helped me carry the food to the car because I had broken my leg and had trouble navigating. We all decided that we want to come back to Clarksdale – not only for the music scene, but for the best sandwiches, cookies, red beans & rice, etc. etc. etc. etc. THANK YOU VERY MUCH BLUE COTTON BAKE SHOP for making our time on the road so wonderful.

We went here 3 times during our time in Clarksdale. The sandwiches are delicious, we had the Mr Wilson & Dennis the Menace, both were perfection. The coconut cake was spectacular, still dreaming about it!

Loved this bake shop!! We had breakfast sandwiches, which were delicious! No comparison to fast food biscuits. Amazingly good! I also had to get some cookies…the ginger molasses and white chocolate oatmeal were soooo yummy ❤️ The owner was really friendly. We enjoyed this place and will be back! Highly recommend. We try to eat at a different local restaurant each time we go out, and we had breakfast here. The woman behind the counter, Miss Nicole, was all smiles and very helpful. Although dine-in is no longer an option, they do have al fresco tables to enjoy the surrounding old downtown area. The prices are family budget friendly, and the food is cooked when you order- no heat lamps or dried out hash browns here! Well worth going off the beaten path!

Delicious made to order sandwiches on fresh baked bread, croissants, and biscuits. Make sure to get the seasoned waffle fries and save room for dessert! I look forward to returning and trying more of the other menu offerings.
Not to mention the beautiful atmosphere with local art, colorful candy, and displays of vintage toys, and games for sale.
A true treasure!

The Blue Cotton Bakery is a lovely breakfast spot. It is carry out only, but it has nice tables outside for eating. The omelettes are excellent as is everything else. There are beautiful cakes by the slice, cupcakes and cookies as well.
