Pretty great spot. Everybody is Dinė in there. It looked like I was the only tourist.
The food is solid but the chili was a little bland but fry bread stuff made up for it and the beef sandwich with gravy was great. ☕️ was good too.

As for the food, we had navajo tacos which were delicious! The price was also really reasonable!

Really pleasant dinner stop. The Navajo tacos were good. The shredded beef enchiladas were amazing. And the Navajo cheeseburger (with a specialty in house Navajo bun) was thoroughly enjoyed! Our server was very pleasant and gave excellent service.

During our exploration of Monument Valley, we traveled through the Navajo Nation and decided to try some authentic Navajo cuisine. Since there weren’t many options besides fast-food chains, we chose this restaurant for lunch to support local businesses, as recommended in a review. We ordered the Navajo tacos, which are the top-rated dish on the menu, along with one serving of Navajo diced mutton. The menu indicated that The tacos came with meat, lettuce, and tomatoes. We inquired about a chicken option, but the waitress informed us that they only had ground beef, so we went ahead with the standard meat option.
When we received our orders, we noticed that the tacos did not have any meat. I called the waitress over to ask if the tacos were supposed to come with meat, and surprisingly, she said no. She then went to the counter and spoke in a native language about the meat situation, and they both went into the kitchen immediately. The waitress didn’t return for ten minutes. When she finally came back, she completely ignored us and started wandering around.
To make sure we weren’t mistaken, I pulled up the restaurant’s menu and called her back over. She returned with another lady who had been at the counter , saying she was new and didn’t know it didn’t come with meat. I pointed out that the menu states it includes meat, and we had confirmed this with her at the time of ordering. The other lady interjected, saying they didn’t have meat in the kitchen, and then told us they would remove two tacos from our bill. I agreed, but when they brought the updated ticket, it still listed three tacos and the diced mutton.
I went back to the waitress and reminded her that she said they would take off the tacos. She replied, “Oh, okay,” and then only removed one taco from the bill. I ended up paying the amount without further argument.
I was disappointed by this experience, and I want to clarify that I am not writing this to harm the restaurant’s reputation. It would have been helpful if they had addressed the issue instead of us having to call them repeatedly. I’m also curious about how many other tourists like us have felt misled, especially since I noticed many people ordering tacos.

I really enjoyed it here! It’s wonderful that you’re preserving your culture, and it was heartwarming to see so many families coming in for lunch. The prices are very reasonable — steaks ranged from $20 to $30 and came with several side dishes and your choice of soup. The drinks were huge, and the service was absolutely top-notch. If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll definitely stop by. I highly recommend this place!

If you’re looking to try local cuisine in Kayenta, this restaurant is a great option. The food is tasty and reasonably priced. The service is simple but friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy with a ‘hogan house’ style and Navajo decorations, making you feel like a local.”

While traveling through town we wanted to support a local restaurant. The service was very fast, the waitstaff was wonderful and the food was good. I had never had a Navajo taco until we ate here. I thought it was delicious. The shell was tender and it was loaded with chili beans and taco toppings. And we didn’t think the water tasted bad, no lemon needed.

Good little spot frequented by locals; unassuming, but with good food and big portions. We had Navajo taco (great!), Navajo beef (delicious roast beef in a frybread), Navajo dice mutton (a little on a dry side but pretty good, too) and some wonderful pie (apple and peach). Also, prices are quite pleasant.
