We were staying in the area and went to dinner at the Blue Cactus. I had the Carnitas Taco and I have to say the carnitas were the best I’ve ever had in a restaurant. They were seasoned to perfection and the meat was not only super tasty it was amazingly tender. My husband had the beef fajitas and he said they were good. The only down we found as the salsa was way to hot for our taste. Other then that we truly enjoyed our meal.

We were playing a gig in Franklin, Indiana and found the Blue Cactus searching for something to eat after sound check. The menu looked very good and decided to give it a try. I got a steak bowl (no rice, I’m diabetic) and bacon wrapped jalapeño peppers, she got the Tinga bowl and a skinny margarita. The food was fantastic. Fresh ingredients, very clean, great service, and a cool atmosphere! I wish they had this restaurant in Cleveland! Throughly enjoyed our experience there and would definitely recommend if you’re in Franklin In.

Best tacos I’ve had outside of Mexico. The freshly made corn shell street tacos had a wonderful charcoal flavor. The steak and chorizo were seasoned wonderfully, and the tacos were full, but tacos, not like others I’ve had that maybe have 2tbsps of meat in them. The salsa that came with them was also excellent. Really excited to return!

Really good mexican food! And super reasonably priced for the amount of food. Salsa was super flavorful and just the right amount of heat. Super clean restaurant and bathrooms. Huge drink menu!

The food and service was not good!!!
My mom & I both ordered the chicken chimichanga and there was hardly any chicken in it and the chorizo dried it out. It looked like beef, so I asked the waitress about it and she said the chicken and chorizo was mixed together, but I seriously saw one little piece of chicken in the chimichanga and it did not have much flavor either. To be fair, my fiancé had the shrimp & scallops and it was very good.

The waitress was not friendly either. I explained to the manager our disappointment and he did not want to hear it and did nothing. Not even apologize for the experience we had. $75 for 4 people to eat authentic Mexican food and Taco Bell would have been better. We will definitely not return.

Owner served my friend and I who fluently speaks Spanish. He overheard a derogatory phrase but wanted to try several tequila brands. Owner placed finger in glass full of a 40 dollar pour of tequila, to remove salt and tried to serve back to us. Once we denied, they charged us and denied to serve us in this establishment as well as Shale Creek. Expressing that he doesn’t serve “you people.” Im mixed and my friend is white. Very unfortunate experience. Maybe why we as a country are tightening up on border control.

Hands down, this is the best spot in town for Mexican cuisine.
The restaurant is always kept clean, the staff is amazing and the food is unbelievable whether you dine in or carry out.

Stop in and see go yourself!

1st Timer! Someone told me about this place and I’m so happy I tried it out! This restaurant was so bomb!! I had a cucumber margarita which sounds as it tastes! Yum! Very good and refreshing! I ordered chicken fajitas (my fav) which was very fresh and surprising still hot as I was leaving! My server was so sweet and attentive. Ask for Amy!! There was no music playing and they turned it on for us without a problem and it just was a nice touch to the whole ambience of this restaurant. Definitely will be back and I’d definitely recommend!

Cute place and some of the staff are very friendly. Some were aloof and I guess don’t know how to smile or were having bad days.

Lots of kids everywhere, but, it’s Franklin. You either get college students or families. We sat at the bar expecting quicker service, but things took twice as long. It took 25 minutes for my burrito bowl to come to the table and I am the only one who had an entree.

Food is OK. Not much seasoning or spice on anything. I had a burrito bowl which was ok, but the salad greens were not dressed leaving me to top it with salsa. The house made hot salsa was not hot. I found the food bland, but, I’m a Hoosier now living in California and I like my spicy spicy and my food very flavorful.

Top shelf margarita was made with orange juice, despite the menu stating it wasn’t. I do not like those types of margaritas, but, c’est la vie. Too sweet – I’m into lime, old school margaritas with no sweet and sour.

Just “ok” overall.
