The Breakfast at Tiffany menu stood out in particular, the egg topped with caviar was absolutely exceptional. The balance, texture, and depth of flavor were remarkable and easily at a Michelin star level. Daniel Boulud’s culinary signature is clearly present in this dish.
The Tea at Tiffany experience is visually generous, with portions that almost play with perception. While the quality and flavors were very good, from a gastronomic standpoint it felt slightly behind some afternoon tea experiences I’ve had in England. That said, enjoying this ritual within the iconic Tiffany setting was still a wonderful experience.
The service deserves special recognition warm, highly professional, elegant, and respectful. The staff made the experience feel refined and personal without ever feeling forced or artificial.
Overall, Blue Box Café is more than just a restaurant; it is an iconic experience. The fusion of the Tiffany world with Daniel Boulud’s culinary vision makes this a destination well worth experiencing at least once.
Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the staff. There was a short wait of about 5-10 minutes to be seated, but the manager offered us complimentary champagne while we waited, which was a lovely surprise. The service throughout our visit was exceptional.
While the food was good but not extraordinary, the overall experience was truly memorable. The washroom was beautifully designed, and we enjoyed browsing the stunning jewelry pieces during our time there. Even with the holiday rush, we felt well taken care of. I highly recommend visiting the Blue Box Cafe for a special occasion!
I ordered Holly’s Plate and a glass of champagne and enjoyed every moment and bite. They truly want you to leave with a long-lasting memory.
I had the Breakfast at Tiffany’s while my fiance went for the High Tea. Menu highlights for were the caviar egg and fruit salad.
If you’re going to Blur Box expect a certain demographic and to pay more than you probably should for the amount of food. But while you’re there take in the sights of the iconic storefront. You won’t be disappointed.
The Highlights:
• Atmosphere: The interior is absolutely beautiful-elegant, chic, and perfectly themed.
• Food & Drink: We had the pastry and tea, both of which were delicious and high-quality.
• Luck: While it’s usually hard to get in, we got lucky and secured a table without a reservation.
If you’re looking for a special treat while shopping, this is a must-visit for the ambiance alone.
We decided to split a Breakfast at Tiffany’s, a Tea at Tiffany’s (get the Tiffany’s tea!), and three à la cart menu items- the ceasar salad, burrata and truffle risotto. Wow!! Jose had everything brought to us in courses and curated it in a way to ensure we had the best tasting experience. He nailed it! Each item was exquisite. We had tea throughout which was a lovely accompaniment to everything we ate. We also started with Chandon sparkling wine. Two of us moved to cocktails – a blue cosmo and an espresso martini.
For our courses, Jose started us with the burrata and ceasar salad. We then moved to the truffle risotto. Then the breakfast and tea trays arrived. Jose guided us to start with the savory and end with the sweet and which direction to move through. Being it was our friend’s birthday, they also presented us with a lit candle and a piece of chocolate that said “Happy Birthday”! It was such a lovely gesture!
This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. Every bite we took, we all kept saying “this is delightful”. Every interaction with Jose solidified how magnificent the meal and atmosphere truly were. The staff as a whole worked seamlessly together, as well, to keep our water and tea cups filled, deliver the food along with new silverware and plates with each course.
If you are going to New York City and want a special experience- I highly recommend booking a reservation at The Blue Box Cafe. I will certainly be returning!
Thank you, Jose and team!
Celebrated my birthday with a brunch at Tiffany! It’s worth it. The ambience, the food, the service… just everything, feels like a special moment to be shared.
We got cappuccino (perfect), chai latte (too sweet), the Tiffany breakfast (amazing!), and lobster roll + a lump crab beet salad + fries to share. The breakfast set was delicious, love the caviar & soft scramble, love the parfait! And the pastry. The lobster & avocado roll was good, but the lump crab beet salad was ok. Fries were super salty – so my sister gave that feedback. It became complimentary – excellence in service for sure.
Everyone (almost) was here celebrating something… a promotion, a birthday, anniversary… and of course families visiting NYC. We enjoyed our little splurge here.
