I recently dined at Blue Bird Bistro and was thoroughly impressed. The friendly service from the moment I walked in made me feel right at home. The menu showcased a delightful array of dishes prepared with fresh ingredients that burst with flavor. Cocktails – skillfully crafted and utterly delicious. Blue Bird Bistro is a must-visit for those who appreciate both top-notch service and a culinary experience that embraces quality ingredients and creative libations.

Best way to explain this experience is to create a visual. Who remembers the movie ratatouille? And that moment the food critic tastes the dish that takes him to his childhood memories… what an experience from the crisp slightly sweet yet slighy sour fried Green tomatoes, to a chicken dish with so many wonderful aromas that my taste buds experienced the meal before it entered my mouth. Loved it!

Overall great restaurant with good food. 4 stars for dry fish and lack of seasoning in the meat loaf. Overall would come back again when in town.

One of my top breakfast spots in the city. Fresh and local produce. The menu is diverse enough for all types of dietary preferences.

I was traveling for work and found this little gem in the city. It is very nice and cozy place. If you are looking for farm to table meal, this is the place for you.

Wonderful servers in a wonderful, interesting building from the 1880s. Great food, but a bit overpriced for what you get. If everything they served were exclusively organic, it might justify the price. But they should advertise it as such if that’s the case. More realistically, they should include a vegetable with each entree for the price.

Disappointing! Very charming place but food was lackluster. Please consider more training for the cooks. Food sounds great on menu but not executed well as far as cohesive dishes that are seasoned and appropriately priced for the portion received. Our server was nice but forgot several things and seemed flustered. Why don’t they just write it down! We were so excited at the menu and ambiance but will not be returning. Too pricey for what it is.

This place has a good atmosphere and the staff are so friendly. The French toast is really good! The other food looks good on the menu but really bland and overpriced for what you get. I’m surprised and disappointed they don’t have an espresso machine here and only serve drip coffee. The owner can be a bit much and intrusive while you’re eating; fine line between charming and annoying.

Had a wonderful solo dining experience here today, excellent service! I had the 17th Street Benedict half order (one muffin half) with a side of crispy chunky breakfast potatoes, delicious! Topped it off with a generous round piece of orange cake with a chocolate coffee almond glaze.. bringing my family back here for dinner very soon!

Fantastic meal and service! Our only complaints were that a few meals weren’t timed right and had already cooled off a little too much, and the filet was super tiny and slightly overcooked. The meatloaf had great flavor. The sweet vermouth butter sauce on the liver was amazing…probably the best liver I’ve ever had. The orange sauce on the salmon wasn’t my favorite. The chicken chili was very tasty. We would definitely go back to this place! It satisfied our foodie tastes!
