My husband and I both agreed this was one of the best breakfasts we’ve had in NC since moving here in October!

First, I have to compliment the amazing service. We dined at three different places during our Valentine’s Day weekend stay in Highlands, and while the town has a bit of an “uppity” feel compared to many other WNC towns, which can sometimes reflect in the service and make you feel like you’re being judged based on how much money you have in the bank just to dine there, Blue Bike Cafe and their staff were the complete opposite. Everyone was humble, down to earth, and genuinely kind. I wish I could remember our server’s name because he was fantastic!

Now for the food, we both ordered the Greek omelette with hashbrowns, seriously some of the best hashbrowns I’ve ever had, and split a cinnamon roll pancake that tasted just like an actual cinnamon roll. Everything was delicious. The portions were large and filling, the prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere felt welcoming.

We’ll definitely be back since we’re only a town away! Highly recommend.

Absolutely loved this place!!! Our server Simon was truly amazing! Ask for him and you won’t be disappointed. Food came out quickly and hot. Generous portions and very delicious. Ordered the BELTA sandwich with Rosemary potatoes and a half order of the oatmeal. Very delicious! Highly recommend to anyone in the area.

The Blue Bike is THE place for breakfast in Highlands. Excellent food with both classic and innovative menu choices. The service is great and the staff and other patrons are friendly. My wife said the veggie egg white omelet is the best she’s had and I love the classic eggs, bacon, and grits with a side of sour dough.

Really great! Grits were the best I’ve ever had! We had a Western Omelet and the ham was perfectly chopped into very small cubes and side of hash browns were crispy on the edges. Need I mention the Bonuts… ! Dog friendly outside too! They even have a Pup menu on their people menu!!! It was extremely busy on Saturday so we got our food to go and walked to a nearby park to eat! So glad we chose to go but so many more things I want to try!

Was packed when we went in the off season but they got us seated in a timely manor. My wife and I both got omelets and hash browns with a biscuit and they were all very tasty. The prices seemed more that fair and the staff was amazing despite being full.

Great country cooking nice relax place to go have a great breakfast. They serve sandwiches too, but we were there for breakfast. Don’t know how their lunch and things are, but I bet they would be great as well.

Excellent breakfast! Ordering at Blue Bike is like ordering clothes online where they say to order a size smaller than normal. The portions are more than generous but it’s so good you may try and finish the whole thing. Everything was super fresh and well prepared and considering the quantity, quite reasonably priced. The service was quite good as well. The telling sign was the number of locals/regulars that were eating there, definitely not a “tourist trap”. Two thumbs up.

Blue Bike Cafe in Highlands is an absolute gem with a cool, upbeat vibe that makes breakfast a highlight! The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, perfect for kicking off the day.

The biscuits are nothing short of amazing – fluffy, flavorful, and a must-try. My chicken fried steak and eggs with palmetto cheese grits was a delicious, hearty plate, bursting with Southern charm and perfectly prepared. My wife’s chia pudding power bowl was a healthier standout, fresh and exceptional in every bite. The service is quick, exceptionally friendly, and personable, making you feel right at home.

I couldn’t resist grabbing a t-shirt from their small retail shop – a fun touch! The only minor note is that the cafe can get busy, so arrive early to snag a spot. Every aspect shines, from food to service to vibe. Highly recommend for a fantastic breakfast in Highlands!

Stopped in at The Blue Bike Café this morning. Place is clean, comfortable, and the folks working there treat you right. Coffee’s strong enough to wake you up but smooth enough to actually enjoy, and the breakfast I had was hot, fresh, and hit the spot. Prices are fair, and you can tell they care about the food they serve. I’ll be back every chance I get. Good people, good food!

The only reason why we stumbled upon this place was there was one parking space left and we took it, looking for a place to eat downtown. We hit the jackpot with this place. The hash with smoked brisket topped with eggs was superb!!
