Blue Agave was a decent Mexican restaurant. Not same as other colorful Mexican restaurants, this location was decorated like a fancy American steakhouse with beautiful bar and patio. But, their food tasted authentic with a great price and size. Service was excellent and WiFi was fast.
There were many great combos in the lunch menu with great sides. Free chips and salsa tasted amazing. My beef taco and enchilada tasted not bad. Mashed potatoes and salad were great. Their happy hour and drink menu also looked attractive.

Love this place! Great service and food every time we come! I highly recommend the cold shrimp cocktail and the Cochinita Pibil. The Cochinita Pibil has launched to the top of my favorite Mexican food list. So much flavor. Oh, also, happy hour every day from 3 to 7!

This was our 1st time and we were impressed. Good food, plenty of choices and great service. There’s also plenty of food on our plates. Well worth the price. Nice area outside for those that like outside dining. There’s also a nice size bar insde. A very nice atmosphere.

My husband and I have been coming here for a little over a year. Every time, I’ve always ordered the fish tacos, Mexican style (cilantro and onion), with pineapple mango salsa. Usually delicious—but tonight, the fish came out smelling rank. My husband (who got steak fajitas) pointed out before I did that something at our table smelled off. I thought it was the salsa, so I set that aside, but after taking a bite of the fish tacos—I knew it was that immediately. The fish smelled and tasted super off, like it just turned.
I asked to send it back, and the restaurant was very accommodating and took it back. We weren’t upset—sometimes stuff happens. However, before we left, our waiter commented that “maybe the cilantro was an unfamiliar taste” to me. I know the difference between the smell/taste of cilantro and fish that was sour.
Everything else we ordered was fine—fajitas (with cilantro, which was great), elote, margaritas—all was great.

2.5 / 5. Went for restaurant week. Black been salad was a miss. Tortilla soup was decent brother based. Salsa a bit bland. Mains were also bland. Burrito sauce was not great. Huge portions. Nice service and atmosphere. Fried ice cream was just rolled in frosted flakes and churros were chewy.

I took my daughter to Blue Agave in Gahanna to celebrate her birthday this evening. We were seated around 6:50 PM and given chips and salsa shortly after. Unfortunately, no one ever came to take our drink order or acknowledge our table.
The restaurant did not appear busy, and several tables nearby was attended to by the staff asking if they needed anything. After waiting about 30 minutes without any service, we decided to leave at 7:25 PM.
As a parent trying to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, that was disappointing. We were also the only melanin family in the restaurant. I sincerely hope that had nothing to do with the experience, but the lack of attention certainly didn’t feel welcoming.
I’m sharing this in hopes management reviews their service standards and ensures EVERY guest receives basic acknowledgment when they sit down.

We went to Creekside to enjoy Sunday Funday and decided to try Blue Agave. So happy we did!
Nice and clean place, friendly staff, great drinks and wonderful food!
The Caronaritas were excellent, I enjoyed the Enchiladas Bandera and my wife loved her Burrito Barbacoa!
