Temp as well. Chicken was super dry and not fresh.
We ordered 4 items and 2 sides as a takeout order. I know when ordering takeout there can be complications but not like this…
We were excited for the Elote which says “on the cob”…it is a tin full of corn and there has to be more mayo than corn. I had the tacos De Alambre. I love salt but WOW that was wildly salty and none of the ingredients were even close, to fresh they seem to be room temperature, tough and dry. Now I don’t have dietary restrictions but the cross contamination does raise concern. My steak, bacon, chorizo and cheese tacos also had sprinklings of chicken and corn throughout. For my side I had the Sopa Azteca. It was not even room temperature. For the other entire we had Carne Asada Tacos….CARNE ASADA how we managed to end up with pineapple and chorizo in the tacos is beyond me. The refried beans as a side were about room temperature maybe a little over. The third was a chicken quesadilla which looked more like an oversized chicken taco covered with queso.
Now I feel like it is also worth mentioning that I was told it would be 15 minutes. I showed up in 9 minutes and we live very close by so none of this had enough time to cool off to the temperature at which I tried to eat them. It is also worth noting that there were 0 other people in the restaurant so it’s not like it should have been rushed. Yeah
All of this for a $54 not including the tip I left.
Corner Tacos meat was good but they didn’t have the toppings, nor the Iowa Steak dish. Steak Tacos were dry. The onions and cilantro that came with the tacos was not fresh.
Cheese in the quesadilla was not melted. Rice is meh. Melting chimi was good.
14$ margs that were mostly ice.
My blood orange marg was made with grapefruit and no orange.
Server was so slow and obviously didn’t want to be there.
It was ice cold in there.
Renovation is pretty.
“Elegant Mexican” came to mind upon entering. The staff was friendly, the decor was colorful and sparkling clean. The music caused one of our members to dance to his seat !
The menu was extensive with several breakfast items available.
Our food was delicious… most ordered some type of breakfast burrito, the portions were large and the coffee was nice and hot.
I enjoyed the Blue Agave Burrito, which was excellent!
We all agreed that we will be back…soon!
Secondly, the staff was friendly, attentive to all our requests, and brought things in a timely manner.
Lastly, the menu had a good variety of options, and food came in fresh and hot. Also, the dips and salsa with the freshly made chips are a must have. Give the margaritas a try! Delicious!
It’s a place worth trying for sure.
Thank you for a pleasant visit, Blue Agave.
